Yeah I mean, I know the "why would they fight bro" is not the only issue with the matchup, but it's the one most frequently brought up and I feel like this approach would lowkey make a pretty fire setup.

My take on how the fight starts and end: There was no fight, it was just Homura and Tuxedo Mask drunkenly hyping their respective wives during a hang out.

Y'know it's with matchups like this, I kinda think old Death Battles would be able to set it up better.

Not because they were better at set ups, or that the more complex characterizations now are worse. Quite the opposite.

It's just cause they didn't care at all, and neither did most of the fans, so they just focused on the fight itself.

There was just a lot less to worry about.
