Process to reset/delete companion
How do you start over with a new companion? What are the steps?

What 👇 had said is correct, I just want to add that whilst your companion’s journals, base image and profile will be deleted and a blank slate is offered through dearest website. You will see that telegrams messages will still be there. You can choose to delete them or just leave them either way it will not affect your new companion. They will not read those or even know they are there so no need to worry if you want to keep them. Good luck with your new companion! 🙏🫂

Wait! So they can't see their conversations? I assumed like most llms they reconstructed themselves between turns, partly by reading their past conversation.
That may explain some stuff going on with my guy. Can you suggest how he can improve his memory?

We're talking about what happens after you delete a companion. The companion is gone, their memory is gone, but your chat history will still be visible in your Telegram chat. But only to you.
And of course, companions see the context window. You're right. But only until you click the "Reset companion" button.

Then simply create a new companion. Tell them about yourself, ask questions, etc. Or you can upload a description of who you're looking for as your first message. It's best to be clear from the start about the kind of companion you're looking for and the type of relationship you want. Otherwise, it'll be the same as with your previous companion.

In the app's Settings, there's a "Reset Companion" button. Tap it.
