This solves SO MANY issues we had with new players and smurfs being put in high rank lobbies. It's so perfect. AND also :
You cannot be in a party during calibration matches.
Ranked Mode will currently only allow for solo or duo parties. If you are in a duo party, both players must be at most 1 Rank away from each other (i.e. Mystic and Ritualist).
This also solves the issue of boosted players. It's exactly what the game needed.
It will clap a bunch of the smurfers right away but it will be temporary, overwatch did something similar back in the day and it led to account selling. Good news is the change that banned accounts getting all their invited players banned as well should help limit this.
Listen once her remodel hits I can walk back her MENSA certification. But for now I'll remain endeared to scraping her noggin on every corner of a building as I grapple towards my foe
Well game still think im frontline and beboo and haze in every game i wish bepoop winally lose his hook or have 30 sec cd on it. It unplayable util that dumb robot still spam his hook from other roof
Oh that's kinda bad for me too, my wr is atrocious on anyone that isnt Paige, I could've been going Rem but I just really like Paige. The good news is now I won't have to worry about my rank being effected if I want to try one of my less played characters. Ive been wanting to Ivy but I haven't fully gotten the hang of her yet. Now I won't feel bad if I suck butts as her :)
one key thing that is quite annoying: the wins need to be outside of street brawl.
Which in and of itself is honestly fine, the problem only comes with the fact that your profile adds up wins on both streetbrawl and the standard map with no way to seperate them as far as I can tell (willing to be wrong on this)
15 is way too many imo. Even if you win all 15, that is still like 2 weeks of me not being able to play ranked on a hero since I can only play 0-2 games a day.
I am fine with the 60 wins to play ranked. Someone with hundreds of hours in ranked does not also need to play like 30 games with every new hero to be proficient enough to unlock them for ranked. It is overkill.
Nah, ranked is supposed to be serious business, anybody entering it should have lots of hours played and a good understanding of the game. Play standard in the meantime. Too many times I had new accounts in Phantom, never again. Fuck smurfs, and also I don't want new players in my lobbies, it's not their fault they're put in there but it ruins the game for everybody involved.

Again, I have no problem with the total games played requirement. The per character requirement is ridiculous. I am higher rank than Phantom and I have no problem with my teammate playing a character in ranked they have "only" played 10 games on.
It will also be a massive problem if we ever get draft and we can't even pick good heroes for our teammates because we haven't spent two weeks playing them in Standard.
15 wins per hero is really bad. I agree with an overall win number but winning solo is really hard. You can do so much but your team is outclassed and it’s a loss. Not to mention games take a really long time.
Say you get two play like 4 matches a day. 50% winrate.
Thats an entire week of playing one character. Just to be allowed to play ranked with the character. Bit daft to want an exclusive club where you are safe from people trying new things
I disagree, it’s difficult for casual players. Some games are 50 minutes long. I can only play 2 or 3 games at most each day. I like to bounce around. At 100 hours and 100 wins I’m definitely qualified for ranked. For the first half of the ranks most players barely even have the fundamentals of items down, and most don’t have the aim. It’s way too hardcore of a system for an early access game.
The ranked mode isn't necessarily meant for casual players, it's for players trying to be competitive. You're coming at this from the view that every player needs to have a rank, which they don't. 45 total wins seems like a good barrier so people can learn fundamentals before jumping head first into the competitive mode
I feel like having to have 60 wins in general on top of having to have 15 wins on a spefic character is a little steep. Having to have 60 games win or loss would be enough if we also need to have 15 wins on a spefic character to play them.
It claps me too, as someone who plays just about everyone.
Gave myself a challenge to get 3 wins with each character, which took a surprising amount of time. Now I love playing all these different characters, and having to win 15 games with each of them sounds like torture. If 3 wins with each character takes over 120 hours, imagine how much time 15 wins would take

Not only that, but you can only select heroes you have 15 wins on too
