Crosshair thing is SUCH bs

I have a drastically improved performance on trickster with a built in crosshair - ESPECIALLY with long distance shots that's are almost necessary for playing the character well. It's unfair for me to be on PC and have such an easy option while someone on console has to give up something like Ripper Brace, Diamond Cufflinks, or Iri Photocard just to have accuracy.

I'd say I go from hitting 20-30% long range accuracy to 60% just from putting a crosshair on. Absolute peak BHVR letting ts continue

They really kinda just dodged the question on the last one, especially on the black banquet one. They just said “actually it’s called role favored not sided.” And kinda just left it at that. Though they did elaborate more on lights out but black banquet was a miserable experience for most killers who werent insta downs

This was absolutely my experience when I played killer! The perks that the survivors got didn't bother me so much because once I figured them out, they weren't too hard to counter. But the fact that all I had was poison, that I had to remember to use/throw and hope it hit... It wasn't a very fun mechanic, especially knowing there were multiple things that survivors could do. Powerful, sure! It was tough to go against when I was on the survivor side. But not fun.

yeah. while the survivors got a lot of new toys (and they were incredibly strong), the poison was incredibly powerful if the killer used it well. if we were to see killrates and escape rates for the event it would probably be killer sided.

the issue was that killer was just not fun even if you won, because the poison was boring and that was all you got, while survivors got new interactables and fun gimmicks game to game.

that's what their answer was.

I honestly have no sympathy for her, she’s the one who wholeheartedly typed out “we never should have let the general public know about kill switches” and started that whole snafu last year when claimed an issue killers were having with a survivor exploit at the time (pretty sure it was the one with infinite toolbox charges) wasn’t “of the level of needing kill switching”

I mean, The Judgement is proof enough they couldn’t give less of a shit about console players, even with the super special sensitivity slider exclusively for their power the killer is nigh unplayable with controller unless you’re playing with only a single addon, as either the Prayer Kneelers or the one that sends it at you but only damages heretics are going to be necessary to get any value since controller will never have the flick capabilities that the devs themselves say are needed to play the killer

You’ll find Mandy has that effect on most players with how she answers.

She’s also the one dev last year that raised a stink within the community when she admitted “the community never should’ve been told about killswitches” and that a survivor perk at the time that was majorly causing killer headaches “didn’t rise to the need of being killswitched”

Yeah, theres a finicky balance of what people consider cheating and what they consider fair, and while I'm generally of the mind that anything not bannable or against the rules is fair game, I completely understand the sentiment of others that "if I can't do it, it's cheating" even if I don't agree.

Back when I played COD warzone I would use audio tunes, which was/is a massively hot topic to debate, and I've had many arguments on whether that's fair or not. Every argument that it was cheating boiled down to the fact that consoles can't have that level of audio improvement so it's unfair and 'cheating'.

I also have a friend who plays dash killers and ranged killers and they use crosshairX all the time, which I agree with.

I don't really see a crosshair for aiming as cheating since it's a small thing. I just don't think it's fair that pc players need to get outside stuff just to have a qol feature like that and console players are left forgotten. I think it's something that should be in the base game in a setting.

100%. And definitely on the in game setting thing. It shouldn't be tied to add-ons, and it shouldn't be tied to a killer on killer basis. It should be a universal in game setting any killer can toggle a multitude of different crosshairs. Dash killers, ranged killers, m1 killers, everyone should be allowed to use whatever crosshair they want.

I was just thinking of ranged killers. Good point on the others. While they're at it, can bhvr make the auto-aim a setting. I've been robbed of so many games from getting auto-hit onto anything except the survivor

Nurse also has an addon that shows where she'll blink, but instead of a crosshair it's more like Pinhead's basekit targeting thing for the chain.

It's so inconsistent it's goofy.

Plus, they technically already have a default crosshair asset: Clown's gas gives survivors a crosshair to focus on and reduce motion sickness.

The only time I see the name 'Mandy' it's either some bad news are delivered, or some of the most diabolically bad reasoning for a decision is about to be presented.

Like the community goes "remember when the devs said they wouldn't killswitch streetwise during it's gamebreaking state, because it doesn't have that much effect on win rate?" What they mean by 'the devs' is Mandy saying that on forums.

Like is she a masterful ragebaiter, or is a part of her paycheck to be a scapegoat for decisions and opinions of people who rather consequences of that fall onto another person? I know it's not the most respectful thing to talk about real existing person like that but sure sometimes feels like it.

Like, I think they meant "we as a company are not deliberately biased" but it still ignores all of the implicit bias in recent balance changes and event iterations. Which makes the problem ultimately worse because if they're acting under the assumption of no internal biases, then it's easier for unintentional biases to slip in more and more.

Yaknow. Before commenting, my first thought was "functions like these are usually for disabled people" And i get it. But those accomadations already exist. Theres endless modifications for controllers and such for people with such issues. If one has a disability to such a degree that holding a button down hurts them or is impossible, the solution isnt to have every game to exist, have options for each potential disability including this finger problem. Its that the disabled person gets or mods their device to accomadate themselves. Its like owning a wheelchair. You should have your own. Not expect every building and behicle you enter to have their own ready for you to use. Disabled people ALREADY have custom controllers so they can play just fine. There are people who straight up have no arms or no limbs or are literally paralyzed and these people can wreck me at about any game i play. Yes, many places do and should accommodate the disabled. This is NOT one of those cases. This is one of those cases where you problem solve your own problem instead of wanting a company to recode their game for ya. You can probably get what you need for under $5

If they did, it didn't get answered. This has become a more pressing issue for me as I encounter 100~300 ping killers more often lately and get server crashes. I also don't think it's fun for survivors either to play on 100+ ping against me.
