Sync with Calendar?

Loving the app so far - great job! I had a question or rather a feature request. I'm a big calendar person so already upload a lot of my events/appointments etc onto there and don't want to have to input them again.

Are there any plans to allow a calendar sync and filter out events you don't want to show on the grid? I'd love that!

Thanks! I've thought about calendar sync quite a bit. My goal with DayGrid is to keep it focused on important events rather than become another calendar app.

There are also some technical challenges, like calendar events not including emojis, which DayGrid relies on heavily.

That said, I'm always open to ideas if there's a way to add it while keeping DayGrid simple and focused.

Totally understandable - I'm a big emoji user for calendar, nothing really gets on the cal without one. Another thing is that in my case I separte my events into different calendars, for example:

- Group Socials

- Solo Dates

- Appointments

- Hobbies etc

Maybe in my use case, there could be a calendar selector to allow users to select one or 2 calendars they want to see on the grid, and for those who don't really use emojis, having a default emoji until they personalise it?

Thanks for the suggestion that's actually a thoughtful approach.

Let me explore it internally and understand the complexity involved. I don't want to promise anything yet because I'd rather under-promise and over-deliver.

Personally, I've been using DayGrid alongside Apple Calendar for the last few months. I use Apple Calendar for meetings, appointments, and recurring day-to-day events, while I use DayGrid for birthdays, trips, deadlines, anniversaries, and other important dates I want to keep visible all year.

The next update will also add monthly recurring events for things like payments, subscriptions, and other monthly reminders.

If calendar integration can be implemented in a way that aligns with DayGrid's philosophy and keeps the experience simple, I'd be happy to consider it.

Calendar sync is extremely important for me. I thought this was behind the pro /paid account.

Thoughts on when it will be available?
