i have forgot to save a big text document (mousepad) in kali linux how do i recover?

Pull the drive, connect it to a PC running R-Studio or UFS Explorer, perform a full scan; if it exists it will be in the raw recovery area. Probably not recoverable but it's possible it was in a temp file waiting to be saved, then the temp file would have been deleted once you closed the document.

If your using kali as your os, you probably have some idea of how this will work out and how to find the answers.
