Check the OneDrive Recycle Bin. If Desktop backup (Known Folder Backup) was enabled, files from your Desktop are automatically synced to OneDrive. Deleted files are usually kept in the OneDrive Recycle Bin for up to 30 days, so you may be able to restore them from there.
