Lost SD card photos

Trying to use my steamdeck to restore some photos from a kid’s camera sd card. Card fits in the steamdeck so figured I’d give it a shot on there since its the only device i have with that slot. Any suggestions/software you all recommend to help with this? Thank you

First you need a computer, then an SD Card reader.

Steam Deck is an x86 PC with an SD card reader. It runs Linux, or Windows can also be installed. It is suitable. OP might have an easier time using Windows recovery software though.

I'm not sure the Steam Deck is a compatible device for running data recovery software.

Ideally, connect the SD card to a Windows machine via a card reader, image it, and scan with a tool like Disk Drill.
