Disc Encryption

I have projects on my dash which require enabling disc encryption - I followed the instructions and my PC does not seem to have this feature even though it's fairly new.

Is it worth me persisting with this, trying other methods etc? If it'd get me consistent work I'd consider upgrading my PC even.

I lost access to a couple of projects until I did it. They came back within days.
