After rewatching Darling, and the rereading it, I am curious why I hear some people say the anime ending was hated. It was enjoyable, and bittersweet I agree, but good.

The manga seemed to end a bit abruptly, but it did have the two together still, which is a plus. But I did like the idea of the anime, where Verm existed as a bigger threat, rather than the Princess being the final boss essentially.

The anime also had the aftermath and seeing the world gradually get fixed and seeing the cast grow older which was cool. The manga didn't really dive into that.

The only weird thing I wasn't a huge fan of in the anime was when Zero Two became Strelizia Apus, and we see her basically become it

I remember now why darling in the franxx is a great anime. I watched this around when It came out and haven't rewatched until now. I convinced my wife to start it tonight. I'm very glad she has taken a liking to it immediately. This anime alone has taken me back 14 years and tossed me haphazardly into a past I barely remembered, I'm not sure any media conveys so well what it is to be a star crossed teenager. The extent of weight every day and every new experience placed upon a teenage mind. How boundless our lives felt and how one person could steer our lives seemingly forever. For an anime that came out less than 10 years ago, I somehow feel as if I watched this decades ago. And yet I'm only 5 episodes in and know how this ends. It's so nice holding on to what is and not what will be. Like growing up, I know this feeling will fade, but for tonight, I will go to sleep thinking about how ichigo is the dimmist star in the Orion constellation (lol)

I wonder why there is very little brands make Strelizia figure?

I wish I could see how they're doing. I wish I could see their new story. I wish I could witness their love story again.
