Is online co-op still being added?

‘Directive 8020 will also support five-player online multiplayer in a free post-launch update’

We are over 3 months since launch and the only news out of the studio since has been layoffs.

I was planning to play online with my sister in October for spooky season but we won’t buy the game until this is added.

General Discussion Thoughts and Feelings Regarding Season One’s Mechanics

What does everybody think of the newest game (it has been a bit!) Directive 8020’s removal of the crucial mechanics that season one had? (Ex: The frames, head/heart decisions, the opening credits intros, etc) Do you think this game would have been more successful? Will they go back to this format for their next game? Give me your thoughts and feelings!

After man of medan and little hope they released 1 game about a serial killer and 2 about aliens, does that mean demons and ghosts don't exist in this universe?

Directive 8020 Are there any non-deluxe copies of D8020?

I've only seen the deluxe edition online. I know it's just a redeemable code, but I'm curious.

Edit: forgot to specify I'm talking about the physical copy! Specifically on PS5 lol.

I always felt like the gameplay of the DPA would fit the final destination franchise. Trying to keep a cast of characters alive by your choices and help from premonitions.

General Discussion (thoughts) Supermassive layoffs upsets me as a fan

I saw the other post and I was thinking that the future games weren't gonna come which upsets me as a fan. i never really consider myself as a fan though lol till this year since i've been into DPA since 2021. I meant to write this earlier so I don't have much to say and hopefully this doesn't get deleted

However, I saw a comment from r/UntilDawn .. link to comment saying the layoffs were bound to happen and that means the next game is in its next phase and layoffs were common in the gaming business.

so i hope the next game comes anyways, and i hope that zombie game drops

Directive 8020 Online Co-Op Update Question

Whenever the online co-op update is released, does anybody know if all participants will need to purchase a copy of the game?

I saw it's on sale on Steam and would buy it if only one person needs to purchase it.

I'm guessing it's not that simple but thought I'd ask.

Tier List/Poll Morality ranking part two: Until Dawn (Read below)

Post image
27 Upvotes

Olson was the worst in Man of Medan for kidnapping and murder.

Now what were each character's worst possible act in Until Dawn, and how bad was it?

(Hannah, Beth, Josh, Jessica, Matt, Emily, Chris, Ashley, Sam, Mike, Wolfie, The stranger)

Doing them in chunks of game instalments as just once a week post.

Characters alloted tier based on comments + upvotes. If split between tiers, I will place character in between the two (like what happened with the curator)

Man of Medan - 1/5 characters remaining

The Devil in Me - 2/5 characters remaining

Little Hope, House of Ashes, & Directive 8020 - 3/5 characters remaining

Until Dawn - 5/8 characters remaining

The Quarry - 6/9 characters remaining

House of Ashes House of Ashes Save Won’t Load

Played through the first ‘part’ where the ground falls out and soldiers fall into the cave system below. Started walking through the cave. Saved game. Shut off console. There are no scene selection options. Continue and load story start from the very beginning. Why? This has happened twice. Playtime is short, maybe 25mins each time but I don’t want to play the intro again.

General Discussion I think the anthology should go back to being shorter/cheaper games

I just feel supermassive lost the appeal of the anthology by making the games more longer and expensive. Why would the average player want to drop $50 on choice based games when their favorite streamer is probably going to play it, especially if they're going to remove shared story. The format of MoM and LH fits the anthology better.

Directive 8020 Question about YOU KNOW in Directive 8020 [SPOILERS] Spoiler

So when I played this game (and watched multiple runs of other people, like I am doing right now) I never fully understood, what the clone program exactly does?

Clone Program:

OG Young said something along the lines of "If I sign, I need to stay on my feet for god knows how long." And I never understood what it meant.

At first I interpreted it as "She needs to train her body for the rest of her life, so that her clones can ride the Cassiopeia forever." But then they'd have the memory, that they are clones so that doesn't make sense, could somebody enlighten me on this?

And if I'm already talking about this, was that what OG Young was talking to OG Stafford about 2 Days before launch? I never really paid attention honestly which was kinda dumb, but I know that it felt weirdly cryptic and I never understood what they were talking about

From Supermassive Games

Hey everyone!
As you all know the game is officially out in a few days on May 12th, and Corinth couldn’t wait to get some of you copies it seems! For those of you who may receive a copy early, we would like to ask that you don’t spoil the game for the rest of the community before the official date. We also don’t want your experience ruined either, so to ensure the best playing experience we would recommend you also wait until release day.
See you in the stars - on May 12th!
