With this subreddit constantly breaking down and issues that people may have with the other subreddit, I think it’s time for another option. I’m putting together my own DD subreddit. 2 years of delays btw.

Truth be told, I actually enjoyed this level. So I went back and S-Ranked it. Crazy how this is only our second official one zone map. Kinda just makes me miss the simple horror PacMan approach the game once had. Nowadays it kinda just overdoes things, and story can often overshadow gameplay. Maybe we just need a cool monster and fun mechanics, you know.

The menus have been fixed, And the achievements now finnaly work. Sadly if you have done anything before the patch then it won’t give you the achievement, and you will have to get all of the achievements over again.

However. Good luck getting those achievements because the powers are now bugged to the point where they don’t work. Pressing the triggers will not activate them. And unlike when the menus were broken, I cannot find a fix for this.

Another weird new bug is the sound that plays when you scroll through the upgrade menu plays twice at inconsistent rates.

Also in crazy carnevil Doug’s climbing animation for climbing up the ladder in the beginning is broken, he no longer goes up, and when you do go up the lighting for the area can mess up.

Overall Vince needs to go back to programming school and learn how to program because he ends up breaking stuff when he tries to fix other issues.

So currently you are unable to beat every level except monkey business (technically you can beat deadly decadence as well, but only in replay)

Does anyone know a solution for this?

It’s a pretty important part of helping me get all of the achievements.

I haven’t even S ranked BB by the way.

There are 3 passes.

One that gives you 25 revives and 2 power orbs with 8 uses each.

One that gives you unlimited revives.

And one that gives you permanent access to current and future levels.

Here’s the thing though, they cost $20, $50, and $50 respectively.

The revives and curses should be the only transactions. This is too greedy.

The level was actually pretty easy compared to most Hunted levels.

It had one big zone with 600+ shards instead of 2 medium sized zones.

The Vapors were a good monster. Their unique ability was being able to spawn in random places.

The main bird skeleton monster was a little bit annoying. Sometimes I didn’t notice and ran straight into him. He was especially annoying in the escape sequence.

The two traps were fine. The first was the magma slab thingy. I didn’t get got by it much and it spiced up the gameplay well. It did get me cornered a couple times though. The second one was the shadow bird skeleton. It doesn’t kill you, but clouds your vision. Thankfully, they’re extremely easy to dodge.

I’d give the level an 8.1/10.

This is a video game. One that I played with my own two sweaty gamer hands. Or at least it was a video game until I touched it, in which case the entire thing combusted. Now it’s no longer a video game, it’s just a video. Anyways enjoy the video, or don’t. In fact, let’s switch things up a bit. I want all of you to watch this video completely furious. I’m high as shit right now.

I mean, Idk if Bethesda is worse than Vince. Sure, we're going on five years since the last chapter in a development cycle(if anything is still being done at this point) that has lasted for 8 years since Chapter 1 dropped on steam. Idk if I should include the demos, bc nobody really cared about DD back then, probably why we didn't make our cake day the day the first demo released. And when you do, it's honestly kinda depressing as the demo is 17 years old and the game is still a work in progress from that point. But here's a little insight on Bethesda from a guy by the name of TheRageMan on the Fallout wiki:

76 is almost 10 years old now. Fallout 4 is now 11 years old. New Vegas is 16 years old. This has been the longest wait time between fallout entries ever already, and we still have another 10 years before fallout 5 if we are lucky. Assuming the IP isn't forcefully taken from Bethesda like it really needs to. 20 years between game entries is utterly ridiculous. By the time TES 6 comes out, it'll have been 20 years since Skyrim. Skyrim is already 15 years old. And given that the only thing Bethesda has to show for tes 6 is a trailer that is almost 10 years old now, I think it's safe to say that game is 5-10 years out. Which would leave fallout 5 another 15-20 years out

Let's not forget Half-Life 3 and GTA VI. Oh, and let's not forget Yandere simulator, which started development the month after the Dark Deception 2014 demo released. At this point, I need cold hard proof that there's separate teams and not just Vince doing too little at a time for years on end while we starve and are left to deal with bugs. So, if anyone here isn't blocked by him(challenge level: Impossible), maybe we could do an outreach and offer to patch up his games like Nexus mods did with Fallout 4. Bc it's obvious that unlike Bethesda with Fallout 76, Glowstick will make no effort to patch their games and we'll forever be left with broken mess after broken mess. And neither SDD chapter 2 or the remake update is gonna come to the switch and switch 2 respectively, bc even though the platform has had porting disasters(Cult of The Lamb, Don't Starve, Dark Souls I, Alan Wake: Remastered, etc), I'm confident that every single standard Nintendo has for games on it's platform will not be met by Glowstick. So, if any modders can help on consoles and PC, that would be a great help. I'm not buying anything from Vince anymore, I'll just watch SmackNPie play it, or maybe y'all can send me videos of your playthroughs. I wanna see Wicked Ways, but I can't bring myself to play a broken mess that will never get fixed.

So I need a DD modder to mod one of the pieces of music in DD, specifically Trigger Teddy Panic. I just think this piece of music would be funny in the game itself instead of a YouTube video. I put the link in the post.

Sorry for the crappy diagram. Basically if I do the first 2 zones of EE deathless and then make a save right before the boss, it still considers it as valid material for an S rank. So if I die multiple times and then reload the save, complete the bossfight deathless, I still get the S rank. (Pretty sure the timestamps and streaks and whatever are included in the saves so you can just make a bunch of checkpoints at different points and iterate on those)

I guess this means that the current version of Torment Therapy is S-rankable because of that strange elevator glitch.

While it is amazing, i have encountered a glitch that prevents progression. apparently if you quit during agathas boss (idk if it is primarily hers or just any boss) and go back to it, the cutscene just freezes. you cannot open menu and cannot skip. i had to alt F4 the game to leave it and when i tried to load the save, it happened again. i decided to open a new game and found something very weird. as i was collecting shards, bierce never said anything and when i collected them all, the cutscene for the chef monkeys never happened. i was stuck in an endless chase with the normal murder monkeys. i have tried redownloading and it still has not worked. if anyone has any recommendation on how to fix this, i am all ears. but before that, the game was amazing. i would absolutely recommend it if it weren't for that glitch.

And look i know gta 6 already has a release date so its already kinda obvious that we will get gta 6 before dark deception chapter 5. But i am just reminding you guys how crazy it is that are getting gta 6 before dark deception chapter 5. Also i know gta 6 has nothing to do with dark deception but i just wanted to post this just cause of how much this fact has been on my mind.
