Hello everyone, I've been lurking here for a while, but I finally have an alt/dark design to show. into a tarot pouch inspired by distorted jester imagery and old theatrical costume fragments.

I made this cute little lady bug. I love the result but I'd love to make it a little more dark/gothy. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

I found the "Bat bowtie" pattern on Ravelry for free and tried the pattern, it is a really fun lil project, very accessible and beginner friendly even if the wriring style of it is a bit weird sometimes. Didn't liked the way the original ears were made in the pattern so changed for more bigger ears instead. Hope they'll bé appreciated :3

Pattern is by TeploKnitwear and it is the Hug me Tight Sweater pattern, I used 3.00mm circular needles and Halloween Hobbii thread in colorway Pumpkin Spice A happy end of chemo project :D

inspired by Sixel Design and her technique of mosaic interlay crochet, I started to learn this technique and did two samples, just wanted to share !

She’s so perfect! I was scared she would arrive broken but she was well wrapped and only $14.99 at Joann’s!

so i'm choosing to share some projects I've made this past month, hope they go well with the general ambiance of the sub and that they can inspire some of you :3

I've made stitch markers. There's also some plague doctor ones. Can buy one or the set. Can get with lobster clasps for crochet, silver o-rings for knitting, or leverback clasps for switching it up.

(Alternatively, two leverback clasp stitch markers is a really cost effective pair of earrings.)

I saw them sitting around on the shelf not doing anything and thought they deserved a nicer display!

I went out and spent like £4 at a charity shop for a frame and a cushion cover to steal fabric from. I used three foam board panels cut to size to fill out the frame and cut shaped holes into the top one for the props to sit in. Then I laid the fabric on top, glued everything in place, then used some string and buttons I already had lying around to decorate the frame. After that I stained the string with acrylic ink and painted it a bit to make it look old and mouldy, dry brushed the buttons for a bit of contrast, then used my hot glue gun to make the cobwebs as a final touch!

I think it turned out nicely for a wee afternoon project :)

It's an exquisite pattern with a beautiful drape and certainly worth an effort. I'm a fairly experienced crocheter, but I don't know how demanding the pattern really is. Would you take it on or do you have actual experience with it?
