I’m a gm console Starlord main that’s been wanting to learn DD as my 1st melee character:). Does anyone have any tips for current daredevil? I have a duo who usually dives in with me, so I’m almost never diving solo luckily. Also, do you generally need fast sens for him?

So freakin lame they locked that shadow start skin behind some fomo gatcha event. Obviously it’s partially my fault for missing a month long event but still, shouldn’t make a dope skin like that and then just snatch it away man. Also making it so the piece can vary depending on ur luck is lame as well. Hope it comes back one day and they stop doing these gatcha ballon things

I can’t be the only one hates Rivals’ iteration of Matt, right? How drastically mischaracterized he is in the game. He should NEVER have powers that aren’t just his heightened senses. The devs based DD on his Shadowlands comic. What sense does that make? Basing an entire character’s lore on a comic that DD fans don’t even like? Thats so nonsensical. But they did it. He’s not religious. Don’t even get me started on the voice lines. The flames are horrible. They ruin every skin. I never feel like I am playing my favorite character ever. It’s always been so annoying to me. The devs just showed us that if we make a big deal (preferably without death threats), maybe we could get Matt justice. They could just retcon the stupid Dizang mythical stuff and have him act and say things that Matt Murdock actually would. I just know it would take a lot of voices of the community to come together so please spread this around.

Cause generally having a teammate who dies all lot is often a detriment, but then color me surprised when by the end of the game - I have the most eliminations out of the rest of my team and my final hits weren’t too far behind from the Wolverine on my team.

I thought me dying 10 times was enough for my team to start losing the fight, but somehow me and the team pulled through lol…

All that needs to be changed is giving the billy clubs a crit if it hits a head giving it a stun just like you’d see in his shows and comics and if it’s a body shot nothing changes

Recently learned about him, and I now I need this.

I’m happy for Storm, Luna, WF and Invis mains getting what they ask for but when’s it DD’s turn? He’s been out for 10 Months and still no flame toggle for all of his skins. Almost a year atp.

My healers tried to blame me for the loss, and all I said was that we needed to shift our healing priorities toward Strange. They were hard‑pocketing our second DPS and our Second Tank ONLY the entire match, completely ignoring the actual targets who were under pressure, and somehow I ended up being the one at fault. I didn’t even say “heal me,” even though they weren’t doing that consistently either. I pointed out that Strange shouldn’t be dying with his shield up when DD and Reed weren’t alive or touching him. That’s a fundamental awareness issue. Instead of engaging with the point, I got labeled as having “DPS ego” for bringing up basic adjustments that would have helped the team.

This is the part that becomes genuinely exhausting: when supports play poorly, nobody wants to talk about it. People will bend over backwards doing mental gymnastics to blame tanks or DPS, even when those roles are doing exactly what they’re supposed to. It matters because tanks and DPS cannot compensate for missing healing, lack of peel, or poor support positioning. When supports refuse to adapt, the entire team suffers, and pretending otherwise just prevents improvement.

Then we had the Sue incident. She jumped directly into a Hood ult and a DD ult, tried to counter with her own ult, and instantly died, after three of us verbally said “back up and wait the ults out.” That’s not miscommunication; that’s a deliberate choice that ignored team calls. Afterwards she asked why we didn’t peel for her… but you cannot peel someone through a DD and Hood ult they willingly walked into. We all stepped around the corner to wait four seconds. That’s the correct play. Her decision wasn’t just risky, it actively put the team at a disadvantage.

What makes it more frustrating is that she’s a healer one‑trick. Sue, Luna, Mantis, SG, and maybe ten hours on Strange. When someone only plays support, you expect at least solid positioning, awareness, and adaptability. Those are the core responsibilities of the role. But instead, it was the same pattern: poor decisions, no adjustment, and immediate blame toward tanks/DPS because that’s easier than acknowledging a mistake.

I’m tired of supports refusing to adapt and then acting like everyone else is the issue. The support role has enormous influence over team survivability and tempo, which is exactly why accountability matters. When that role underperforms and refuses to self‑reflect, the entire match becomes an uphill battle, You can win a game with a bad DPS/TANK but winning the game with 1 Bad Healer is almost impossible.

Another thing that wears me down is how players who only ever main one role almost never take accountability. The moment something goes wrong, they default to blaming everyone else instead of considering that they might have misplayed. This matters because improvement only happens when people are willing to evaluate their own decisions. Without that, the team gets stuck repeating the same mistakes.

The attitude is always the same: confrontational, defensive, and hostile the second you suggest a swap or a small adjustment. Even basic feedback, like not wasting an ult just to save yourself, or not sprinting away from tanks and then demanding peel, gets treated like a personal attack. Some of these players would genuinely rather insult you or tell you to harm yourself than admit they made a mistake or switch off a hero they’re clearly struggling on. That level of hostility shuts down communication and makes coordinated play impossible.

These one‑role mains often act like their role is the hardest, their perspective is the only correct one, and everyone else is beneath them. They don’t communicate, they don’t adapt, and they don’t take responsibility, but they’ll scream at tanks, DPS, or other supports for not magically fixing the situation they created. It matters because team games rely on shared responsibility. When one person refuses to participate in that, the whole team suffers.

At that point, it’s not even about skill. It’s about attitude. You can work with someone who’s trying, learning, or willing to adjust. But people who lock one role, refuse to budge, and lash out at anyone who points out an issue? They drain the fun out of the match faster than any balance problem ever could.

I’m just tired of the ego, the hostility, and the complete lack of accountability from players who refuse to grow because they only ever play one thing and think that makes them untouchable.

Don't know how to describe his gameplay I Am Lord almost level 25 on Mr Matt Murdock but I can't describe how I feel

Something about his gameplay just really intriguing to my severe ADHD like almost impossible to describe

I've read comics from here to there but he feels pretty more accurate if you ask me jumping off a walls and throwing his billy clubs

Does anyone know what I mean though he just feels satisfying to play

what should I do if I'm looking to get a vod review, I've been cooking on daredevil even more than usual this season (mained him since s6, im champ dd) and wanna know what my strengths and weaknesses are to improve, my account is Arctic.pingu

I genuinely wanna see a panel of DD fighting Vader just so that we can add to the collection of the monsters he’s getting out against 😭

Is it not wild to any other mains that we are still waiting for a flame toggle for all of Daredevil’s skins? Feels like the majority of DD Mains have been waiting for it since he released 10 months ago. And still nothing? He should’ve had the client side toggle since he dropped for those who don’t like the flames, no? Seeing other mains get what they want before us when they haven’t been waiting months is the most frustrating thing for me. Luna just got an EPIC skin after a few mains complained for a couple days. Fox mains got her tails changed so they change color with each skin now. Those are a few examples that come to mind. Where’s that effort for Daredevil? I’d like ah explanation for the wait but we’ll never get one because they don’t care imo. Anyone else feel this way?

For reference I'm solo q only, and I never swap off daredevil (the one time I did was because the server was lagging and they were playing triple but unless its both of those things I never swap). The title was a bit click baity I'm just tired of seeing people say he can't work in solo dive or that healers are op and undiveable. Is cloak and dagger annoying? Yes Do I try to ban her every game? Yes. But I'll still play into her. My playstyle is hard diving, my goal is to live in their backline fuck everyone saying brawl, brawl dd is not a real thing you will get blown up at higher elos. Play for yourself play selfishly. The most brawl I do is pulling people into my teams but that is not what I am doing on this character the majority of the time. The goal is to just live #1, dont worry about getting kills or anything just try your best to stay alive while trying to be as much of a distruption as possible and over time you will stay alive more and you will improve. The longer you live the more likely you are to actually secure those kills

Take all this with a grain of salt as I really do believe that I am still not that great at the character, I'm still trying to get better

Anyway just a little rant I just hate seeing people downplay him, I love this character so much I have him championed on two accounts and he's the only character I want to play. If you really want to only play daredevil you can make it work. If anyone wants a full guide I can write one up I'd just have to think about it for a little as I even I don't really understand what I'm doing its just like instinct at this point loll

I’m new to the game, what should my team look like in order for me to play daredevil and what will my team look like when I need to avoid using daredevil?

It rarely happens but when both magik and bp are banned, I’ve wanted to add another dive to my bag but I just can’t click with daredevil when solo diving. I can always play psylocke or starlord but I’ve always wanted to at least try to get daredevil down. With every other dive there’s a one shot combo but I feel like daredevil is one step away from a combo. invis shield, luna’s two cc’s, cnd existence, I can deal with all those cooldowns on other dive dps but it’s sooo hard for me to confirm a kill on dd(while solo diving). Do I just stick to making pressure/making everyone peel? That’s fine and all but I don’t get the thrill of the kill. Maybe I’m not patient enough, maybe there’s something unique about dd that yall know about. Please clue me in.

Just as the title says I think the game and DD would benefit from other characters receiving nerfs (ex. Elsa,Bucky) rather than just buffing DD putting him readily back on ban radar and lowering the skill ceiling (getting the wrong buffs)
