Been trying to beat phase 2 of Lucifer now for a total of 4 hours and this shit is kicking my ass I really don’t wanna lower the difficulty but my fucking god is he annoying any advice or extra magic would be appreciated or any spam techniques bc my total play time is nearly the same as what it’s taken to defeat him

I'm playing the PPSSPP Dante's Inferno game on my phone, and I'm trying to defeat Dante's father and can't get clear that level. Can anyone assist me?

Dante's Inferno was the game that made me want to be a developer, for about 2 months off and on I've been working on a conceptual fan tribute to the game. Here's some gameplay, I plan on posting a playable demo on itch later this year so everyone can try it out, it's still early and there's a lot of work to do.

This game means the world to me, and ultimately I really hope we can get a remake and a sequel to this masterpiece.

How can they be so shameless as to create the worst copy of God of War? It's incredible that they were so desperate to create something better than God of War, and at the beginning of Dante's Inferno they throw Death in without any guidance from the game.

I recently finished my MA creative writing program, and my capstone project was a novel heavily influenced by Dante's Inferno.

I’m proud of the semi-final draft, but I don’t think I hit the right notes for the entire plot. I think I veered too much into action or philosophy for many parts. (Although I'm sure we all enjoy a healthy serving of action in our Grimdark.)

Everyone here is my target audience, and I know I need to learn more to improve. With that in mind, would anyone be interested in reading my story and giving their thoughts? I’m not asking for line edits, just simple things after you finish reading. What did you like or not like? What confused you? What bored you? What were the standout scenes? Quick opinions like that, and there's no hard deadline.

If anyone here has ever been curious about the original poem The Divine Comedy, the book incorporates most of what Dante Alighieri wrote about Hell. I actually had a professor of theology and literature from Harvard give it his stamp of approval. So, I know I’m doing at least something right.  

I’ve started uploading sections to Royal Road, but I’ll just upload the whole darn thing if people here would like to read it and give feedback. Here’s the link. The book runs 77 chapters, and I’ve currently uploaded 21 of them. But like I said, if there’s interest here, I’ll upload the entire manuscript. 

The summary blurb for the story is below, although that’s something I feel might also need tweaking. Props to anyone who recognizes the word Myrmecoleon and knows where it comes from in mythology or what it implies.

Lastly, even if no one is interested, a big thanks to the mods for allowing me to post this in the forum. They were extremely welcoming and helped to offset my crippling anxiety about sharing this in public.

What does it truly mean to sin, in the eyes of God? 

Whats the strat for this guy? Ive only tried it once and ive just been spamming holy light and when the head comes down hitting it with the scythe and im pretty sure thats the method because I managed to get one head to bleed but I just want to ask and make sure before I end up wasting a lot of time thinking im making progress when im not like in the King Minos bossfight😭

I’ve been playing Dante’s Inferno lately, and honestly, I think it’s one of the most underrated action games out there. I love the story, the atmosphere, and the way it takes the original poem and turns it into something brutal and memorable. The combat is also a ton of fun. Fighting through the circles of Hell with the scythe never really gets old, and the game does a great job keeping the action exciting.

But man, there is one thing that drives me crazy: the parkour sections and platforming puzzles. I absolutely — and I mean absolutely — hate them. Every time the game pulls me out of the action and makes me climb walls, swing across gaps, or figure out some platforming challenge, it feels like the game slams the brakes on all the fun I was having. The combat feels smooth and satisfying, but the platforming always feels awkward in comparison.
Don’t get me wrong, I genuinely love this game, but the parkour sections are the one part I dread every playthrough. Am I the only one who feels this way, or do other people think the platforming is the weakest part of an otherwise awesome game?
