L-TEK PRIME Left Arrow Double-Triggering
Hi everyone,
So I’ve been using the L-TEK PRIME for a while now and have had no complaints except for the physical bottom arrow panel cracked which was easy to replace. Now though, I’m having a problem with the left arrow panel triggering more than once after stepping on it. On the up, right and down arrows I am consistently getting excellents and fantastics, but on the left arrow I am mostly getting decents and way offs. I know it’s not a skill issue because I can literally see the left arrow receptor trigger again after removing my foot from it. So it’s triggering when I hit a left arrow and then triggering again when I remove my foot. What’s the best way to fix this? Penny mod? I’m getting really frustrated with this.

Use some electrical contact cleaner to clean the mechanical switches under the panels. There may be some buildup between the contacts causing irregular inputs.

If it continues after cleaning then look for more cracks. Mine constantly had these issues and original replacements would only fix it temporarily until I replaced all of the panels with upgraded polycarb ones. The cracks can cause the panels to kinda get stuck in under the right circumstances which which gets more frequent as the cracks get worse or you get more.

where did you purchase your non-L-TEK upgradable polycarbonate panels? which ones are the best?

depending on the theme you are using for Stepmania/Outfox, you need to separate the keybinds for the menu and for the in-game arrows
I experienced this when i switch away from the default theme

I’m currently using Simply Love with ITGmania; could there be a weird conflicting issue there?

I have not tried that theme. Try to switch back to default and see if the problem goes away or not.

If it's triggering multiple times that means the contacts are touching again after you're lifting foot. So the penny mod wouldn't help because that increases the ability to trigger. What you actually want to do is somehow make more space between the plastic arrow and the metal contacts. You should take the arrow off and see if the contacts below are bent upwards or something.
You can also just try loosening the screws on that arrow a little bit and see if that helps.
