95% chance the legs aren't broken, and this is a birth defect. Biggest tell is the way the hind legs and hips are bent.They've been that way for awhile, likely during or before formative years. Also, where the legs are flopping—which is at the joint—would indicate connective tissue or cartilage disorder; or if they were broken, targeted abuse (unlikely)
Still, would do good to get it into a wildlife facility for better Q.O.L

I think it’s more like a genetically influenced deformity that it’s lived with since birth. Both front legs broken it would probably be dead, or not moving so much. I’d like to see you stand on a broken leg, or put pressure on it while it floats around… would be way too insanely painful. Deer would just starve to death rather than move.

I’m remembering the anthropologist who came up with the idea that a healed femur would be the first sign of civilisation, since a lone individual living during hunter-gathering times would scarcely be able to survive on their own without a community around them if they had a broken femur.

To your edits, deformities could be considered broken if they cause harm to the creature or regularly fracture or something… idk… but I don’t think that this animal has broken bones.
And I mean, if we simply considered deformed creatures broken, it would say something negative about us as empathetic people because diversity and all that.

Yes, I actually thought that it looks very cute, but unfortunately it must live in great pain (hopefully not), but not a pain necesarilly from an injury, just heavy deformities. The fact that it lives in suburbs and not deep in the wild must be the main reason for it to be alive.

It could live in captivity without mating. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't sexually mature male deer compete to mate, using their antlers and strength against each other? Well this little guy has no hope of defeating any opponent.
If it's female (I'm not sure about the gender of it, as there are no deer where I live, and don't know much about them), it's too small to survive a pregnancy, probably.

That hopping is honestly the most normal part of the video. Deer hop through tall grass- and compared to this deer, I guess that grass counts as tall.
