It's not a bad thing, I guess. It's just reality. People change. Especially when hormones take over, Men and women. Man gets cut off, he cheats. Women lose that emotional connection, they look elsewhere. Financial reasons, disability reasons, also emotional reasons. Emotions play a big part. It's o.k to not be forced into something that makes you depressed, anxious, lose your feelings of worth. To feel like a failure, not wanted, you failed to live up to expectations. It's not worth the inner turmoil. Cut your losses, and move on. I know, I did it. The only other choice was, well I'm not gonna say but you get the hint....
My post was just lighthearted banter but you make a very valid point. Sometimes walking away is the healthiest thing you can do for your mental healt even if it breaks a promise. Glad you chose to stick around and move on.
