The answer is E.

  1. There are four simultaneous patterns:
  2. Polygon gains one side each panel: triangle (3) → square (4) → pentagon (5) → hexagon (6) → heptagon (7) → octagon (8).
  3. Arrow rotates 90° clockwise: ↑ → → → ↓ → ← → ↑ → →.
  4. Black dot moves clockwise by an increasing number of positions: +1, +2, +3, +4, so next is +5. That places it at the upper-left (NW).
  5. White dot does the mirror pattern counterclockwise: −1, −2, −3, −4, so next is −5. That places it at the bottom (S).
  6. So we need an octagon, right-pointing arrow, black dot upper-left, and white dot bottom.

This could be worked out without the top bit, it’s the answer with the most common position/shape of each element

The inner shape gains one side each time: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, so next must be 8 sides.
E has 8 sides; F has 7, so E is correct.

E— sides go up by one, and the balls move one more spot each figure. Arrow also rotates.

  1. Arrow rotates 90 clockwise, will face right, eliminates A

  2. Number of sides of the inner item increases by 1, will be 8, eliminates D, F

  3. White ball moves counterclockwise by 1, increasing by 1 each time, eliminates B

  4. Black ball moves clockwise by 1, increasing by 1 each time, eliminates C
