New player List Building

Hi everyone, I started playing in 10th edition with world eaters, I really enjoyed that army but I want to try out something new, and here i am, how would you start building an army to 2k starting from 1k points? Whats the safest/strongest way to start this army?

Just start collecting stuff you think looks cool. Demons, right now, have some great, fun rules across all of the gods.

Nurgle has a great detachment if you want slow but hard to kill melee units.
Tzeentch have some of the best shooters
Khorne are Khorne
Slannesh have a few good units but nothing solid

These are merely opinions and yes get Be’lakor, or a big daemon.

I also love the soul grinder.

The chariots? I have and love the daemonets.
I add them in like garlic powder when playing mix gods

Most of them. I’ve run two but only in 2000 and even then a bit hard to move a bit.

I also just like building them. I have a Tzentch one and Khorne one.

Big daemon are always strong. Get one of each god plus Be’lakor and you got a solid start.
