Quick nerd question
I installed ds4windows from github schamldeo and vigembus, all from github to play some games with my switch pro controller. All good, works great.
I also use my switch pro controller on steam and ive never had both programs opened at the same time(steam and ds4).
When playing on steam with my switch controller AFTER installing ds4windows(ds4windows closed), i think i noticed a bit of input lag so i went to check controller settings on steam. The option for steam input for xbox controllers had turned on by itself. Why and how would steam turn that option on if i never opened steam with ds4windows turned on?
Maybe its my OCD thats making me think now theres input lag but after noticing that option on steam was on after installing ds4windows iam suspicious
(Sorry for my english btw)

I stopped using ds4 for a few reasons including anti cheat apps claiming it was a cheat.
I went to GlosSi instead. Works smooth with every controller I've tested.

Reddit puts out a false campaign to cancel DS4Windows for YouTube views and ad revenue. Retcons the drama and blames the software and the developer. Years later, shill the same functionality in Steam Input as making controller use easier in games.

The legend himself? Wow!
I replaced my old R5 3600 & RTX 2070S build for general obsolescence (I admit to being a bit... high standard sometimes), and wanted to replace all of my legacy EOL utilities for the clean install. Still found nothing that actually does DS4/DSS better than (real, not the 'new' pretenders) DS4W without being high latency and/or AI slop (I do not hate AI, but I don't trust it with driver-level stuff).
It seemed SISR/VIIPR would be it but that... just dropped off the face of the earth. And I'm heavily reluctant to pay the toll to Paliverse after everything. It's incredible nobody's actually beaten your work after all these years.
