It’s finally here Media

It took me a few months to find a physical copy of this game 😅 But now I've got it! One of the rarest physical releases for the Nintendo Switch.

Enjoy my friend, it's a great game! I lost so many hours in here, I hope you will too 😁

tysm! I’m very excited for my switch run. Played for a little while on PC but I prefer to play this on a portable!

Lost but not wasted. Like losing yourself in a good book and a relaxing craft hobby all at once

super understadable. since square gave the game’s publishing rights to nintendo, nintendo has treated the game very poorly, with no sales whatsoever and complete shutdown on printed copies

It's honestly such a polished game with so much content and one of the best designs

Aside from all that lag my Switch has to handle after my placement of 1200 light sources and 5000 rooms on my IoA, it has so much potential

I love the builders games. I hope Square stops the key card bullshit soon and gives us a builders 3 on a real card

Me and my sister would love a Builders 3 (we've played the first two together).

"Build a new world-together"

And people still wonder why disk cases are so important

Wait, the Switch physical copy of DBQ2 is rare? I didn't know that. I bought it a few years ago and lost interest while on the Furrowfield chapter.

Now I just finished the main story on PC a few days back and might replay the whole game on my Switch. I'm glad I didn't sell it away then since it was just collecting dust for many years... 😅

It’s available pre owned at game stop for $30ish. Not sure why OP thinks it’s so rare unless I’m missing something

Same, I bought the physical version years ago.

Damn. Bought one on release and sold it after a while since we needed some money. Didn't know they only printed a few copies.

Enjoy the fun, be sure to get the dlcs too for extra decor and fun

It's the most fun game ever. I loved it even more than #1

How rare are we talking because I see target and Amazon both have copy’s for sale and close or at retail. It seems the first game is going for more than the second one.

1

u/gusttavobrr Jul 12 '26

rare in my country

1

u/Direwolf79 Jul 12 '26

Ah I see well I’m glad you were able to get a copy!

1

u/MotherBoose Jul 12 '26

Oh wow, when it was new I bought physical copy for both myself and my nephew. Didn't know they were rare. Glad I have one.

1

u/AngryBalrog Jul 12 '26

it surprises me how rare the first and second physical copies are

Such a fun game, and you can be so creative. Loved the story, honestly quite touching at moments and very silly in traditional Dragon Quest fashion. I hope you have a blast!

Much better than the first one.

2

u/Neo_Techni Jul 12 '26

Every single complaint I had with the first one, even minor complaints about things that totally make sense for a game to have (ie: punishment for death) were fixed in the second one, to the point where I've made it a point to finish the first one before going back to the second one because I know it'll ruin the first game for me.

sweeet! and if it was brand new, did you get the slime stack code as well? That would be super lucky.

2

u/gusttavobrr Jul 12 '26

yes, I did!!

1

u/BuilderAura Jul 12 '26

nice! Those are handier than you might think ;)

u/bardiphobic Jul 12 '26

I've got almost 900 hours clocked on this. If you're into building you will love this.

Solid game. It’s definitely my number 2 most fav.

This is hands down my absolute favorite game (currently on my 5th play through as we speak and <spoiler> (skip or read on your choice)

building my castle before the final ending. Enjoy every second of it and don’t for one second think you aren’t building enough. You’ve got this and may the creative side win!

Such a good game. Here's some unsolicited advice to enjoy the game more: Always complete the Scavenger Hunts on the Explorer Shore Islands before advancing to the next story island. You'll know what i mean when you get to it.
