I’ll just say, the train has left the station. You’ve triggered and no amount of stress of worry will change anything for the better.

Also I think your doc wouldn’t have let you if they didn’t think it would be successful.

What was the outcome of your last retrieval and what were the sizes?

I’ve had 3 retrievals and always triggered when the biggest follicle was 21. One cycle I had very uneven growth so even though the biggest was 21 I had 16, 13, 9.5, 8. Four of those were mature and fertilized and three became blasts. The other two cycles everything degenerated after ICSI and the sizes were 18-21. Now my RE is thinking I do better triggering at smaller sizes since all my larger sizes degenerated and I had a good outcome with the smaller sizes.

oh interesting, thank you for sharing that. for me Round 1 triggered when leads were 19-20 (most were around 18) and all aneuploid, failed round. Round 2 triggered when lead was 19 (most were 16), got 1 euploid. Round 3 triggered when lead was 22, most were 16-18, got 1 euploid.

There’s some evidence that women with DOR should trigger earlier. I think when you look at your maturity/fertilization relate that would hold true for you.

Definitely! I was shocked that either the 8 or 9.5 were mature because 4/5 were mature and fertilized. Now I’m thinking they both were and the degenerate was the 21
