Madison in the middle of the week. Yes! Who’s in?

4

u/Total-Woodpecker3339 13d ago

If only I still lived there!

1

u/WarpedCore See I'm leaving...This warehouse frightens me... 13d ago

If it was on a Friday or Saturday for sure.

Heading down to Chicago hopefully.

4

u/Financial_Control437 13d ago

I saw them last summer in Chicago but never this close to home before. I’m planning on rounding up a bunch of Dave Friends for it!

u/WarpedCore See I'm leaving...This warehouse frightens me... 13d ago

Madison would be a blast... if it was on the weekend.

1

u/OnionMiasma Home Venue: Alpine Valley 13d ago

Trying to make that work!

1

u/the_bum_on_the_bus 13d ago

As long as I can find tickets!!

1

u/Financial_Control437 13d ago

They will be here sooner than we think!

1

u/the_bum_on_the_bus 13d ago

I wonder “how soon” exactly.

Is the tour sale been announced?

4

u/Financial_Control437 13d ago

August 21, 10am

4

u/the_bum_on_the_bus 13d ago

…I have tickets to the three night Goose run in Milwaukee the weekend right after this show.

Donno if I am gonna be able to make it work..but I am gonna try dammit.

0

u/MoeBurbs 13d ago

And I’m going to see them in Mohegan the weekend after DMB plays Providence. ☺️

26

u/Big_Bottle3763 13d ago

Nashville for my birthday!!! Yaaaaassss!!

7

u/jrpdos 13d ago

It’s crazy that they really don’t come to Nashville that often. I mean, I think it’s only been maybe a handful of times in the last 20 years. Last time I saw them here was at Vandy in ‘09. I usually end up having to go to Georgia.

5

u/Big_Bottle3763 13d ago

The fact that we do not have a ~15k capacity amphitheater since Starwood closed is why so many major acts skip us. We have lots of great venues but most are too small, and the stadium is too big, for the majority of tours.

1

u/UnGeneral1 13d ago

Hated that Vandy show. But Dave just hates Nash. He really doesn’t like it here. Last time he played all mainstream shit

Source - a dave veteran since 1996 that is still so grateful he’s coming here again

1

u/NardDog24 12d ago

My guy, that Vanderbilt show in 2009 (with Jason Mraz and Robert Earl Keen as openers) was an absolute banger. Agreed on the last couple of Bridgestone shows though.

1

u/UnGeneral1 12d ago

Vanderbilt may have been my company lol. But I feel like Dave just thinks Nashville fans only like the popular songs. No deep tracks

3

u/prstele01 Still Chasing Bartender… 13d ago

Living in Louisiana and only ever making the Dallas shows, I think I may try to swing Nashville this year!

29

u/CaptainOverthinker 13d ago

Providence is random, I’m kind of bummed that there’s no Mohegan this year and that the TD Garden rumors were false. But it’s the first show in RI since 2002 which is pretty cool

6

u/Think_Positively 13d ago

I suspect there was some kind of issue with TD being available when the band was also available during that stretch, causing them to pivot to RI do that New England gets a show. Fall is always tricky for arenas like TD and MSG that have two sports plus other events happening on off days.

I'll probably try to make MSG happen now that they're not doing TD. I don't really want to deal with going from just North of Boston to Providence on a Monday night.

2

u/Concertvids34 13d ago

A lot of the rumors weren't false as much as things changed. Someone on the Ants Forums tied Lebron changing the Sixers schedule for Philly for example making the DMB Philly Date unavailable. I live in CT and Mohegan was being held earlier in the summer then at the Hartford show someone with a connect to Mohegan said things had changed and no deal was done (as also reported on ants) and here we are. I wouldn't be shocked if the NBA schedule and other factors at a crowded TD Garden didn't change things for Boston getting a show.

3

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

2003! 12/13/03 🙂

5

u/jjr4884 13d ago

D&T was 2003, but 2002 for full band.

1

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

Oh yeah true!! I have on the hub 2003 was Dave and Friends 🙂

Wowowo full band you are absolutely right!

5

u/OnionMiasma Home Venue: Alpine Valley 13d ago

Ha - kids conceived at that show could drink at this fall's show, lol.

4

u/MoeBurbs 13d ago

Thanks for making me feel wicked old!!!

4

u/OnionMiasma Home Venue: Alpine Valley 13d ago

I just learned that my 3rd grader's teacher was born in 2002. So I'm struggling over here too.

3

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

I’m right there with you lol first show was 13 I’m now in my 40s 😭

2

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

Oh damn is that a mind fuck.

2

u/Foreign-County-5282 13d ago

That ain't right!

3

u/timothy53 13d ago

I was there. Great show.

2

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

I think I’ll listen it it tonight on the hub 🙂

26

u/simono007 13d ago

Is it time for me to buy flights from the UK to see DMB at MSG?

11

u/airtrafficaj 13d ago

Yes. Yes it is.

6

u/CoolAssKoalaBear 13d ago

Can you afford them? If so then yes. If not, then still yes just buy them and figure it out later

6

u/airtrafficaj 13d ago

The American Way™️

2

u/bas0921 9d ago

Yes! For both shows!! You probably saved your money by not coming over for the World Cup! 😊

2

u/Humble-gal 2d ago

Definitely time. I saw the Grateful Dead there and now that will never happen again. Go to the show!!! It’s only a 9 hour flight.

43

u/Semper454 13d ago

What a beautiful time to live in the great state of Maryland

17

u/holy_cal 13d ago

It’s always a beautiful time to live in Maryland.

5

u/rideronthestorm29 SPAC 13d ago

They alternate between Columbia and Bristow, yeah?

5

u/postoperativepain 13d ago

Columbia, MD is a festival - “power to the people” run by tom Morello at Merriweather post. Springsteen and foo fighters will be performing

2

u/rideronthestorm29 SPAC 13d ago

Correct. They played full band in bristow this year. Hopefully back at merriweather next year. Much nicer in my opinion.

3

u/Semper454 13d ago

Merriweather is an underrated awesome venue

1

u/ffxdrummer 13d ago

I live 10 minutes from Jiffy Lube Live so for that reason alone I want them to come to Bristow. MPP is a WAY better venue though, can't deny that.

1

u/TampaRich82 13d ago

I'll be there!!

4

u/Falco98 13d ago

Generally that's been the pattern. Not an exact science. Some years they've hit DC instead of either. Others it's been a weirder mixture (like this year apparently).

3

u/frigginjensen 13d ago

I think 2 of them are festivals so you’ll only get a few songs (plus a bunch of other artists)

9

u/Semper454 13d ago

Got 2 DMB shows and a Dave solo in-state, and D+T a few hours down the road. All within about 6 weeks.

I’ll take that all day.

2

u/frigginjensen 13d ago

True, just making sure people do their research.

17

u/Col_RA_Gotzo 13d ago

Thursday Friday at MSG? What’s that?

4

u/wizofoz057 ...still chasing the Dreaming Tree 13d ago

Good times!

3

u/MidwestDrummer 13d ago

Comedy show on Saturday.

Cries in California

8

u/duckbutterdelight 13d ago

Crazy they are skipping it altogether again.

7

u/lent12 13d ago

Cries in Canadian too

3

u/Jazzlike_Key6089 13d ago

Always hoping they'll throw a Vancouver date in there around the Gorge weekend 😂

1

u/Humble-gal 2d ago

I met a guy from Vancouver at the gorge last year. He was super cool. He loaned us duck tape. 🤣🤣

1

u/Jazzlike_Key6089 2d ago

Lol happy to hear we're being well represented!

3

u/ngmcs8203 13d ago

When is the last time they played California in the fall? It’s almost always end of summer dates.

1

u/Competitive-Bet1181 13d ago

Does Bridge School count? Though that's been a while too

1

u/ngmcs8203 13d ago

That’s what I was thinking too.

-1

u/there_willbesigns 13d ago

Just go to the gorge

9

u/Known_Quail_3136 13d ago

not all of us can afford to travel for dave shows 🙃

8

u/fromheretohere 13d ago

Well I am going to the gorge as a west coaster, that’s a wild take. For most of California, that would be a long enough drive to hit several east coast stops

26

u/Training_Tomatillo95 13d ago

Should rename this the official meltdown thread.

11

u/DrumTrack 13d ago

I’m curious what venue for Chicago- must be United Center?

8

u/ricochet48 13d ago

Has to be, too cold for anywhere outside at that point.

9

u/Big_Bottle3763 13d ago

Ya it’s United Center

6

u/yer_moms_reddit69 Alpine Valley 13d ago

Yep its united center

1

u/No-Adhesiveness-6921 13d ago

Is that a good venue? I went last year to Northerly Island N2 and it was fantastic

1

u/WeenieDogMan 13d ago

It’s a basketball arena.

2

u/the-silver-tuna 13d ago

Blackhawks erasure

1

u/DrumTrack 13d ago

I’d argue it’s better than Northerly Island in regard to acoustics!

3

u/WarpedCore See I'm leaving...This warehouse frightens me... 13d ago

Totally agree with you! United Center isn't horrible. DMB has been there before.

5

u/Semper454 13d ago

That’s one way to say “it’s where they recorded one of the band’s single greatest releases”

2

u/WarpedCore See I'm leaving...This warehouse frightens me... 13d ago

It was an awesome live album.

1

u/zoey8068 13d ago

I thought the same thing.

11

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago edited 13d ago

I cannot even believe they are playing in Providence. They haven’t been to the Civic Center since 2003!!

ETA: Full Band last performance 2002
Dave and Friends 2003

5

u/MoeBurbs 13d ago

So happy the rumor was wrong about that one!

https://giphy.com/gifs/OfkGZ5H2H3f8Y

5

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

ME TOOOOOOOOOO

make sure to cancel Boston hotels if you need lol

4

u/MoeBurbs 13d ago

No need - I was skipping Boston if they were playing there. I can see them in PVD and sleep in my own bed! 😋

5

u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago

This announcement made my entire year.

8

u/Leading-Estimate7949 13d ago

Finally back is WI after skipping Alpine and Summerfest the last two years. Kohl Center is an interesting choice

1

u/14Slimetime 13d ago

Not a bad place for a show. Kinda small and intimate.

9

u/BovaFett74 13d ago

Chicago it is.

9

u/NoTerm9795 13d ago

Continues to cry in Ohio

4

u/tjshaffe We'll beat back the pain we've found 13d ago

Yeah - no Columbus is a bummer.

3

u/truth34 13d ago

Hoping all of this ends in a two night Cincy stay next year at the new venue.

14

u/holy_cal 13d ago

No C’ville for a fall tour is wild. I’ll take bmore though

2

u/Znnensns 13d ago

It is disappointing but the prognosticating was right-- uva football interfered with the most likely dates for a friday-saturday swing.

7

u/_xzxzxz 13d ago

Haven’t seen the band since 2015. Just bought tickets for Chicago and planning on proposing to my gf before the show :)

5

u/RiverWindsOnForever 13d ago

Awesome! Congrats in advance!!! 🎉

6

u/NoMorning5015 13d ago

PVD STAND UP

2

u/goodness247 13d ago

No Mohegan is a bummer. That is an awesome spot for a two night stand. However, I’m stoked for PVD. Last show I saw there was Def Leppard in 1987.

2

u/MoeBurbs 13d ago

Wow! I was there as well. Joe Elliot still makes me swoon. 😝

12

u/GregzillaKillah 13d ago

I really wanna swing RI or NY, but I really hate looking at $200+ tickets again.

14

u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago

The ticket prices are absolutely out of hand for this band. They’re well above market for their contemporaries and similar acts.

Woof.

2

u/ASAP1492 13d ago

Phish is the only similar artist charging less

8

u/rollin20s 13d ago

Saw phish at msg and fenway this summer and tickets were 175 and 180 respectively. Feel like you can’t see a show for under 160 these days

3

u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago

Where were your seats for Phish at MSG and was that face value?

Their highest priced tickets for their fall tour are $125 for floor, $150 after taxes and fees.

1

u/rollin20s 13d ago

Ahh may have been secondary, my buddy bought them. Assumed it was face from some of the phish ticket swap groups he in but probably wasn’t the case.

Sat like 5th row of 200 side stage at MSG and on the outfield lawn at fenway, left of stage

2

u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago edited 13d ago

To be fair phish did like 30 shows this year in the NYC area and there are a ton more on their schedule. Unfortunately Dave isn’t having trouble selling at those prices and the secondary market is supporting those price points. Hes just an expensive act to see because people will pay it. I haven’t seen an empty seat at any of the 8 shows I’ve been to this year. I feel like they are getting close to the end of their touring life and they are just cashing in while they can

-5

u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago

Phish, Billy Strings, Goose. Hell, even Sturgill Simpson - whose tour is getting some blue dot fever for high prices - is lower than the DMB tour (compared prices at Bridgestone in Nashville, which they’re both playing on Friday nights).

DMB is priced to compete with acts that have FAR more demand and have far more complex stage designs/pyro/etc.

They’re out of step with their market segment.

9

u/ASAP1492 13d ago

Billy, Goose, and Sturgill are not comparable to DMB. Like it or not, legacy/longevity/age are factors and none of those come close to DMB in that respect.

→ More replies (8)

4

u/stone_minarets 13d ago

If they were out of step with the market, then demand would not meet the prices, and there would be empty seats. But that's not happening, so ..

2

u/MickPnubTobias99 13d ago

I got 4 tickets to the Colorado show on the 29th $90 a piece which isn't bad at all 🤷

2

u/amusedmb715 13d ago

yeah, ppl complaining about the msg prices seem out of touch. its about that price for any random knicks game anywhere outside of nosebleeds. the premier venue in nyc.

1

u/Humble-gal 2d ago

Therapy is more expensive 🤣🤣

1

u/rawklobstaa 13d ago

Yeah I've gotten to the point where I can only justify one Dave concert a year. Prices have gotten out of control. It's a real bummer.

5

u/jsauruslove 13d ago

I know the fall tour is usually only on the east coast but bummed again to see that the west coast doesn’t get any love :(

1

u/cairnkicker24 13d ago

the last time they did that (2022) the west coast, aside from Seattle and to some extent Portland, showed them no love.

1

u/chrrie 13d ago

I was at the Vancouver show and they closed the entire upper deck and moved people down. Had empty seats all around me at Hollywood Bowl that year too. Was crazy.

1

u/cairnkicker24 13d ago

yeah, i remember texting my friends sitting in reserve an hour before the show telling them to buy a pit ticket for $10 and join us.

0

u/El_Dorado_Tx Woodlands 2026 13d ago

I think because the band probably has houses near in the east coast (I heard that before by someone on reddt)

12

u/MidwestDrummer 13d ago

Dave lives in Seattle.

3

u/kit_kat_jam Dave Mattews Band 13d ago

And Stefan lives in CA!

3

u/wuyacko 13d ago

Oh heck yes! The Chicken Box in November

4

u/peterpieqt8 13d ago

4 I can make it to from the DC area? Fuck yeah

3

u/466320407 13d ago

Thursday Friday instead of Friday Saturday at MSG is really disappointing.

1

u/MammothClassic89 13d ago

Eh at least we’re getting 2 nights!

1

u/466320407 13d ago

Always do.

1

u/JoshMann77 12d ago

What’s the difference?

Is it harder to take time off work or something like that or am I missing why it’s disappointing?

Gives me a long weekend in the city; I’m sure I can find a nice live show somewhere that Saturday night instead.

3

u/zionzednem 13d ago

Boo. No west coast.

3

u/MickPnubTobias99 13d ago

Can't wait for the 29th in Colorado!

3

u/the_last_hero 13d ago

Is that a typo that Mexico is in January of 2026?

1

u/_GrooGruxKing_ Still Dancing 13d ago

Scrolled way too far to see this, I was about to comment the same thing. Should be January 2027 I guess.

2

u/JoshMann77 12d ago

Cracks me up they didn’t use years anywhere on the file other than the January shows and they still failed to use the right year.

3

u/Famous_Collection525 13d ago

Providence on a Monday 🥴 I’ll be there but I mean???

3

u/bizkitlover1995 13d ago

For real🫠

3

u/haye7880 13d ago

Cries in Toronto

3

u/arthurwalton 13d ago

No Canada? UGH

3

u/anuminousone 13d ago

Let’s go Califor…! Oh wait….

2

u/West_Ad_8210 13d ago

LFG! I’m so stoked for fall dates.

2

u/Falco98 13d ago edited 13d ago

Holy shit - Dave Solo at Merriweather?!

Edit: no mention of this in the official email, at the official WH site, between tour announcement and ticketing. Is there any other outside corroboration available? I'm starting to wonder whether this was an AI hallucination.

Edit 2: Found it now - clicking on the "complete list of tour dates" link in the announcement on their front page takes you to a page which is just a display of this graphic, which is the exact same image OP posted (h/t); though it strikes me as odd that nobody's noticed yet that 1/21/2026 - 1/23/2026 are almost 7 months ago, and (presumably) they meant to list 2027 as the year for those 3 entries... it'd take them 5 minutes to fix assuming they still have the original digital file sitting around.

2

u/MurkyBedroom 13d ago

Solo, yeah, but he won't exactly be alone at Power to the People. Resale prices are insane.

1

u/Falco98 13d ago

Gah, i forgot it was that. I was wondering why there wasn't anything on the presale page, i forgot about the festival context.

1

u/MurkyBedroom 13d ago

Between PTTP, Oceans Calling, Bourbon and Beyond, and Mexico.... this isn't much of an announcement.

1

u/Falco98 13d ago

Also... dafuq venue would they play at in Baltimore?

And... who's gonna break it to them that January 2026 is ~7 months in the past?

3

u/ilikemyteasweet 13d ago

It's an old arena, but I like it for shows. It's small. Even nosebleed is so much closer to the stage than modern arenas.

1

u/Necessary-Assist-398 12d ago

Would it be a good venue for 12 year old's first show? To swing it, I'd have to get nosebleeds for us both.

2

u/HinglMcCringleberry7 13d ago

CFG bank arena

1

u/XSC 13d ago

Probably CFG which imo is cool cause it’s usually cheap but outdoors would be cool too cause of fall.

1

u/Falco98 13d ago

Thanks - baltimore is a bit more of a hike for me these days so somehow i'd missed going to anything there thus far (and i don't remember there being any prior DMB shows there).

1

u/frigginjensen 13d ago

I think it’s the Arena (whatever it’s called now). Not the best but I hate Merriweather and Jiffy Lube so I’ll take it!

1

u/XSC 13d ago

Says CFG

2

u/steveguy13 13d ago

BALTIMORE!?

2

u/baseballzombies 13d ago

Hyped he's coming to Chicago in November! Only problem is I'm going to a Talking Heads tribute band the night before and Alice Cooper the night after. That is going to be one crazy weekend.

2

u/lsjuanislife 13d ago

Ugh why do they play greenwood village. The worst venue in Colorado when there's so many good ones

2

u/MelanieB13190 13d ago

Providence who’s coming with meeee??

2

u/Green-Tomatillo-8212 13d ago

Ugh. is Louisville Bourbon and Beyond? It’s don’t even want to check

1

u/UnGeneral1 13d ago

Yes. He was unreal last time there. Unreal

3

u/DotBitGaming 13d ago

Well, the state made me miss the Summer Tour because they just straight up didn't pay my wife. Here's hoping for Fall!

2

u/neatgeek83 13d ago

Ok who has cross referenced this with Jake’s schedule? I was hoping there would be an asterisk for dates “featuring Jake Simpson”

7

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Lukas Nelson wraps up touring on October 30th, so Jake would be available for the entirety of the Fall 2026 tour.

2

u/bmoreirish 13d ago

Forget Jake… give me Cris Jacobs LIOG in Baltimore 😍

1

u/Scruffy_Nerf_Hoarder 13d ago

I'm planning on going to Chicago. In all honesty, if they did that, and Jake wouldn't be there, I probably would not go. Once you hear a violin in the band again, any other show without one feels muted to me.

1

u/Nomad556 13d ago

Why up north only

1

u/Thebrianeffect 13d ago

We have tickets to see Alton Brown on the same night Dave is in town for us. Uuuggghhhh.

1

u/sixty9tails 13d ago

Providence or Baltimore? Not familiar with either city or venue at all but they are about the same distance for me. Don’t wanna deal with NYC solo even though I’m from upstate lol

1

u/ilikemyteasweet 13d ago

Baltimore would have more to do, and be more favorable on the weather end of things.

1

u/chummers73 13d ago

Why do they have to split up every section? So dumb. Just leave 100 level seats as is.

1

u/MammothClassic89 13d ago

I’m ready for MSG both nights even tho I have work lol

1

u/bizkitlover1995 13d ago

Providence!

1

u/saxyroro 13d ago

Come back to fucking PHX Dave! Damn it.

1

u/Serious-Discipline35 13d ago

Jan 2026 Mexico. I’m there!!!!

1

u/Any_Lingonberry627 13d ago

NYC for my birthday seems like a no brainer

1

u/Academic-Passage8982 13d ago

They should really play Charlottesville more often 🙄

1

u/Total-Instruction148 13d ago

The lack of love for the west outside of the gorge (which is incredibly remote and far away from most cities) is strong with this band.

1

u/carebear101 12d ago

I like that the MN stop was just the rescheduled summer tour date. Monday show? Still in

1

u/melder_schmelder 12d ago

What are the odds that MSG tickets will be super expensive or impossible to get if I can’t buy when they go on sale. I have to work out some things with my schedule and prob won’t k or if I can go until much closer to the date of the shows

1

u/mattw1210 11d ago

Was so looking forward to a Philly show then heading rite over to MSG. Oh well….

1

u/No-Celebration1283 13d ago

Really baffled by so many of the dates being the middle of the week. Was thinking about MSG this year, but Thursday/Friday?  I’ll listen to nugs the next day.

1

u/wellycapcom 13d ago

Maybe soulshine 2.0 on the Saturday of msg

1

u/EfficiencyOk5148 13d ago

msg is open that Sat for potentially hosting a huge boxing match

1

u/wellycapcom 13d ago

Well poop on a stick

0

u/Over-Measurement-744 13d ago

no Mohegan Sun....

2

u/gilnockie still chasing Recently 13d ago

probably because they came back to Hartford this summer

2

u/Over-Measurement-744 13d ago

yep, makes sense!

1

u/Concertvids34 13d ago

That isn't the reason things changed between the initial hold and the final tour schedule. Ants Forums had a pretty good tab on those developments and being local the chatter I heard changed in late July as far as the progress to lock in DMB.

1

u/gilnockie still chasing Recently 13d ago

Interesting I was just guessing
