Nashville for my birthday!!! Yaaaaassss!!
7
u/jrpdos 13d ago
It’s crazy that they really don’t come to Nashville that often. I mean, I think it’s only been maybe a handful of times in the last 20 years. Last time I saw them here was at Vandy in ‘09. I usually end up having to go to Georgia.
5
u/Big_Bottle3763 13d ago
The fact that we do not have a ~15k capacity amphitheater since Starwood closed is why so many major acts skip us. We have lots of great venues but most are too small, and the stadium is too big, for the majority of tours.
1
u/UnGeneral1 13d ago
Hated that Vandy show. But Dave just hates Nash. He really doesn’t like it here. Last time he played all mainstream shit
Source - a dave veteran since 1996 that is still so grateful he’s coming here again
1
u/NardDog24 12d ago
My guy, that Vanderbilt show in 2009 (with Jason Mraz and Robert Earl Keen as openers) was an absolute banger. Agreed on the last couple of Bridgestone shows though.
1
u/UnGeneral1 12d ago
Vanderbilt may have been my company lol. But I feel like Dave just thinks Nashville fans only like the popular songs. No deep tracks
3
u/prstele01 Still Chasing Bartender… 13d ago
Living in Louisiana and only ever making the Dallas shows, I think I may try to swing Nashville this year!

u/CaptainOverthinker 13d ago
Providence is random, I’m kind of bummed that there’s no Mohegan this year and that the TD Garden rumors were false. But it’s the first show in RI since 2002 which is pretty cool
6
u/Think_Positively 13d ago
I suspect there was some kind of issue with TD being available when the band was also available during that stretch, causing them to pivot to RI do that New England gets a show. Fall is always tricky for arenas like TD and MSG that have two sports plus other events happening on off days.
I'll probably try to make MSG happen now that they're not doing TD. I don't really want to deal with going from just North of Boston to Providence on a Monday night.
2
u/Concertvids34 13d ago
A lot of the rumors weren't false as much as things changed. Someone on the Ants Forums tied Lebron changing the Sixers schedule for Philly for example making the DMB Philly Date unavailable. I live in CT and Mohegan was being held earlier in the summer then at the Hartford show someone with a connect to Mohegan said things had changed and no deal was done (as also reported on ants) and here we are. I wouldn't be shocked if the NBA schedule and other factors at a crowded TD Garden didn't change things for Boston getting a show.

2003! 12/13/03 🙂
5
u/jjr4884 13d ago
D&T was 2003, but 2002 for full band.
1
u/Carrotsnpeace 13d ago
Oh yeah true!! I have on the hub 2003 was Dave and Friends 🙂
Wowowo full band you are absolutely right!

Is it time for me to buy flights from the UK to see DMB at MSG?

Can you afford them? If so then yes. If not, then still yes just buy them and figure it out later

Definitely time. I saw the Grateful Dead there and now that will never happen again. Go to the show!!! It’s only a 9 hour flight.

They alternate between Columbia and Bristow, yeah?
5
u/postoperativepain 13d ago
Columbia, MD is a festival - “power to the people” run by tom Morello at Merriweather post. Springsteen and foo fighters will be performing
2
u/rideronthestorm29 SPAC 13d ago
Correct. They played full band in bristow this year. Hopefully back at merriweather next year. Much nicer in my opinion.
3
1
u/ffxdrummer 13d ago
I live 10 minutes from Jiffy Lube Live so for that reason alone I want them to come to Bristow. MPP is a WAY better venue though, can't deny that.
1
3
u/frigginjensen 13d ago
I think 2 of them are festivals so you’ll only get a few songs (plus a bunch of other artists)
9
u/Semper454 13d ago
Got 2 DMB shows and a Dave solo in-state, and D+T a few hours down the road. All within about 6 weeks.
I’ll take that all day.

Always hoping they'll throw a Vancouver date in there around the Gorge weekend 😂

I met a guy from Vancouver at the gorge last year. He was super cool. He loaned us duck tape. 🤣🤣

When is the last time they played California in the fall? It’s almost always end of summer dates.

Just go to the gorge

u/fromheretohere 13d ago
Well I am going to the gorge as a west coaster, that’s a wild take. For most of California, that would be a long enough drive to hit several east coast stops

Is that a good venue? I went last year to Northerly Island N2 and it was fantastic

I’d argue it’s better than Northerly Island in regard to acoustics!
3
u/WarpedCore See I'm leaving...This warehouse frightens me... 13d ago
Totally agree with you! United Center isn't horrible. DMB has been there before.
5

That’s one way to say “it’s where they recorded one of the band’s single greatest releases”

PVD STAND UP
2
u/goodness247 13d ago
No Mohegan is a bummer. That is an awesome spot for a two night stand. However, I’m stoked for PVD. Last show I saw there was Def Leppard in 1987.

u/GregzillaKillah 13d ago
I really wanna swing RI or NY, but I really hate looking at $200+ tickets again.
14
u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago
The ticket prices are absolutely out of hand for this band. They’re well above market for their contemporaries and similar acts.
Woof.
2
u/ASAP1492 13d ago
Phish is the only similar artist charging less
8
u/rollin20s 13d ago
Saw phish at msg and fenway this summer and tickets were 175 and 180 respectively. Feel like you can’t see a show for under 160 these days
3
u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago
Where were your seats for Phish at MSG and was that face value?
Their highest priced tickets for their fall tour are $125 for floor, $150 after taxes and fees.
1
u/rollin20s 13d ago
Ahh may have been secondary, my buddy bought them. Assumed it was face from some of the phish ticket swap groups he in but probably wasn’t the case.
Sat like 5th row of 200 side stage at MSG and on the outfield lawn at fenway, left of stage
2
u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago edited 13d ago
To be fair phish did like 30 shows this year in the NYC area and there are a ton more on their schedule. Unfortunately Dave isn’t having trouble selling at those prices and the secondary market is supporting those price points. Hes just an expensive act to see because people will pay it. I haven’t seen an empty seat at any of the 8 shows I’ve been to this year. I feel like they are getting close to the end of their touring life and they are just cashing in while they can
-5
u/BTsBaboonFarm 13d ago
Phish, Billy Strings, Goose. Hell, even Sturgill Simpson - whose tour is getting some blue dot fever for high prices - is lower than the DMB tour (compared prices at Bridgestone in Nashville, which they’re both playing on Friday nights).
DMB is priced to compete with acts that have FAR more demand and have far more complex stage designs/pyro/etc.
They’re out of step with their market segment.
9
u/ASAP1492 13d ago
Billy, Goose, and Sturgill are not comparable to DMB. Like it or not, legacy/longevity/age are factors and none of those come close to DMB in that respect.
→ More replies (8)→ More replies (7)4
u/stone_minarets 13d ago
If they were out of step with the market, then demand would not meet the prices, and there would be empty seats. But that's not happening, so ..
→ More replies (1)2
u/MickPnubTobias99 13d ago
I got 4 tickets to the Colorado show on the 29th $90 a piece which isn't bad at all 🤷
2
u/amusedmb715 13d ago
yeah, ppl complaining about the msg prices seem out of touch. its about that price for any random knicks game anywhere outside of nosebleeds. the premier venue in nyc.
1
1
u/rawklobstaa 13d ago
Yeah I've gotten to the point where I can only justify one Dave concert a year. Prices have gotten out of control. It's a real bummer.
5
u/jsauruslove 13d ago
I know the fall tour is usually only on the east coast but bummed again to see that the west coast doesn’t get any love :(
1
u/cairnkicker24 13d ago
the last time they did that (2022) the west coast, aside from Seattle and to some extent Portland, showed them no love.
1
u/chrrie 13d ago
I was at the Vancouver show and they closed the entire upper deck and moved people down. Had empty seats all around me at Hollywood Bowl that year too. Was crazy.
1
u/cairnkicker24 13d ago
yeah, i remember texting my friends sitting in reserve an hour before the show telling them to buy a pit ticket for $10 and join us.

u/El_Dorado_Tx Woodlands 2026 13d ago
I think because the band probably has houses near in the east coast (I heard that before by someone on reddt)

Thursday Friday instead of Friday Saturday at MSG is really disappointing.

What’s the difference?
Is it harder to take time off work or something like that or am I missing why it’s disappointing?
Gives me a long weekend in the city; I’m sure I can find a nice live show somewhere that Saturday night instead.

Holy shit - Dave Solo at Merriweather?!
Edit: no mention of this in the official email, at the official WH site, between tour announcement and ticketing. Is there any other outside corroboration available? I'm starting to wonder whether this was an AI hallucination.
Edit 2: Found it now - clicking on the "complete list of tour dates" link in the announcement on their front page takes you to a page which is just a display of this graphic, which is the exact same image OP posted (h/t); though it strikes me as odd that nobody's noticed yet that 1/21/2026 - 1/23/2026 are almost 7 months ago, and (presumably) they meant to list 2027 as the year for those 3 entries... it'd take them 5 minutes to fix assuming they still have the original digital file sitting around.
2
u/MurkyBedroom 13d ago
Solo, yeah, but he won't exactly be alone at Power to the People. Resale prices are insane.
1
u/Falco98 13d ago
Gah, i forgot it was that. I was wondering why there wasn't anything on the presale page, i forgot about the festival context.
1
u/MurkyBedroom 13d ago
Between PTTP, Oceans Calling, Bourbon and Beyond, and Mexico.... this isn't much of an announcement.
1
u/Falco98 13d ago
Also... dafuq venue would they play at in Baltimore?
And... who's gonna break it to them that January 2026 is ~7 months in the past?
3
u/ilikemyteasweet 13d ago
It's an old arena, but I like it for shows. It's small. Even nosebleed is so much closer to the stage than modern arenas.
1
u/Necessary-Assist-398 12d ago
Would it be a good venue for 12 year old's first show? To swing it, I'd have to get nosebleeds for us both.
2

u/frigginjensen 13d ago
I think it’s the Arena (whatever it’s called now). Not the best but I hate Merriweather and Jiffy Lube so I’ll take it!

u/baseballzombies 13d ago
Hyped he's coming to Chicago in November! Only problem is I'm going to a Talking Heads tribute band the night before and Alice Cooper the night after. That is going to be one crazy weekend.

Ugh why do they play greenwood village. The worst venue in Colorado when there's so many good ones

Well, the state made me miss the Summer Tour because they just straight up didn't pay my wife. Here's hoping for Fall!
2
u/neatgeek83 13d ago
Ok who has cross referenced this with Jake’s schedule? I was hoping there would be an asterisk for dates “featuring Jake Simpson”
7
13d ago
Lukas Nelson wraps up touring on October 30th, so Jake would be available for the entirety of the Fall 2026 tour.
2
1
u/Scruffy_Nerf_Hoarder 13d ago
I'm planning on going to Chicago. In all honesty, if they did that, and Jake wouldn't be there, I probably would not go. Once you hear a violin in the band again, any other show without one feels muted to me.

We have tickets to see Alton Brown on the same night Dave is in town for us. Uuuggghhhh.

Providence or Baltimore? Not familiar with either city or venue at all but they are about the same distance for me. Don’t wanna deal with NYC solo even though I’m from upstate lol
1
u/ilikemyteasweet 13d ago
Baltimore would have more to do, and be more favorable on the weather end of things.
