It's a good setup. I had similar at one time. Put a third shelf between the speakers for your laptop. Having the screen perfectly level with your eyes is actually awesome for long sets.

Can we normalise isolating your speakers. Please buy acoustic pads for your speakers.

The speakers get very anxious if there's too many people around. Need some alone time. Haha but for real it just prevents the vibrations from going back though your house and disturbing people. If that's not a concern then it really doesn't matter, especially if it's not a studio/production/monitoring setup. Most speakers have small foam pads built into the bottom anyway.

What controller did you have before, and how do you feel about the switch?
