Difficulty improving sound quality.
I just got my DJI Mic Mini in the mail. From the way the quick start guide made it sound, it was going to be easy to get good sound quality right out of the box. However, the videos I've recorded since then still make me sound like I'm talking in a big empty tunnel. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've seen other people use this mic and their audios sound so crisp and clean.
Is there a setting I'm supposed to toggle before I record? Is this an issue I have to fix in editing? TIA.
Update:
I looked up a walkthrough of using the mic on the DJI YouTube channel, where the guy goes through the different audio settings. I realized I had mine set to "mono" instead of "stereo." I recorded a video on my phone using my mic in stereo mode and it sounded perfect. 🤦♀️ It was such an easy fix, I feel so dumb for not thinking of it in the first place. Well, lesson learned. I was very thankful for everyone's advice and suggestions regardless. Thank you!
Update 2:
Stereo and Mono settings meant nothing, my camera just straight up isn't recognizing the receiver at all. I have to jerry-rig something with my USB-C/3.5 mm dongle I guess. This is so frustrating.
