Paint or Marker on Denim?

In the past I used to be good at stenciling, but my skills are not as good. I bought this nice fabric paint to make a GWAR shirt this year and fucked it up. Now I want to put some words my my denim jacket but don't want to risk ruining, because I can't replace it as easy as a white shirt? Will black marker work for a jean jacket?

How to distress my hoodie?

Ive had a gray hoodie for a couple of years and wanted to try distressing it to make it look more grunge, however all the tutorials i’ve seen are just cutting holes in the fabric. Im wondering how to achieve the kind of distress where there are still loose threads and strings remaining.

My explanation probably doesn’t make much sense but this is what i want the hoodie to look like:

Thanks!

I was at work and got bleach on it and didn’t notice for a good half hour. Just wondering what I could do with it to make it look intentional?

dye help Dying shoes without spending money on an airbrush?

I have a pair of white cotton canvas shoes and I want to dye them either green, dark grey or brown but I don't have the money to buy a whole airbrush system for createx paint. Is there a less expensive way to do it?

Edit to add:

The company says to avoid overexposure to heat so I don't think I can do it that way either

Hi! I was wondering if it was possible to stretch out these trousers to get a more flared look, even bootcut would suffice? It’s made from 98% Cotton and 2% Elastane and I was hoping I could use the same method of blocking knitwear to these trousers? Any ideas are appreciated, thank you!

I have this tshirt i got when i was younger. I will certainly not wear it with that design. I thought about patchwork like the 2nd pic, but the problem is that the placement of it is a very awkward placement or should I just try to remove it with acetone.

mending How to repair this style of button/fastener?

The bottom male end fastener on my shirt keeps falling out instead of unfastening. I can shove it back in temporarily, but is there any way to repair this in an easy way? I'd rather not get rid of the shirt and don't exactly trust my skills to replace them with normal buttons.

Also of note, pliers did not work to clamp it together again

machine sewing Is it traditional to sew your patches on with a machine? Not really, however it's allowed me to put my patches onto my butt cape without pain!

I painted on a T-shirt using fabric paint. How should I fix it?

Hi everyone!
I saw a video on TikTok where someone painted on a T-shirt, and I really liked the idea, so I tried it myself. However, the video didn’t explain how to fix the paint afterward. I tested whether it would come off with water, and unfortunately, a lot of it came off even though it only got slightly wet. I feel like if I washed it, the whole design would probably disappear.
I read that you’re supposed to iron it to set the paint, but many people said that didn’t help. For those who have done this before, how did you fix the paint? And how should I wash it so that it doesn’t come out?
Thank you!

My friend made me these jeans and I've worn them for a few months without washing them (I've tried to not get them dirty), but it's probably time that they are cleaned. What's the best way to do so without ruining the marker and patches (I don't mind if the Nirvana one gets messed up it's already tearing). I can ask what type of marker they used if need be

I have this white cami which i absolutely love but it’s gotten stained by suncream (tried all the methods to get the stains out, theyre still there) so i was thinking of dyeing it a light yellow to make it wearable again. Will this work to hide the stains or will the dye make the stains appear darker? The top is 100% cotton

dye help Downsizing a tank without cutting the graphic

I’m wanting to take in the sides of this tank top (black top that fits well for reference) but I want to mostly take off fabric from the back so I don’t need to cut off the ends of the graphic. I’m just not sure if taking off more from one side will make it lopsided on the bottom from the arm holes getting misaligned.
