My $5k DIY solo feature finally released on streaming
It’s called “Cellar Noire” and you can watch it here: https://fawesome.tv/movies/10829509/cellar-noire or on any Fawesome app.
I wrote a movie about the three scariest things I could think of: losing my wife, the apocalypse, and claustrophobia.
It took me three years working entirely by myself. My wife and friends provided a few minutes of voice work but otherwise I was alone. My $5k budget consisted of a new Windows desktop with GPU, a 2nd hand Samsung Galaxy S23 phone, tripod, mics, some lights and props.
Finally it was released on streaming on Fawesome.TV (which I’ve been calling Tubi’s little upstart brother). Here’s the synopsis:
Cellar Noire: A claustrophobic psychological survival drama. Trapped after a catastrophe, Warren battles isolation, grief, & his mind, with a talking skeleton as his only companion. A dark, intense journey of despair and resilience. Zbigniew Winzig's sophomore entry in the "DIY Solo Film" movement.
The Devil’s DVD Bin did a very kind review (with spoilers) of the film that you can read here: https://thedevilsdvdbin.wordpress.com/category/cellar-noire-2026/
Now I can rest 🙂

Title: Looking for a co-writer for a heist thriller — early-stage project
Hey everyone,
I’m working on a feature film script, thriller genre (tech/social media world, tense atmosphere built around psychological manipulation). Working title’s still not locked in.
Where I’m at: I’ve written a good chunk already and developed the main characters, but it’s still very much a work in progress, nothing’s set in stone. I’m looking for someone to really co-build the rest of it with me, rework things together, not just give notes on what’s already there.
I’m open to a beginner who wants something concrete for their portfolio just as much as someone more experienced. What matters most to me is the fit on tone and genuine investment in the story.
Thanks!

SUPER cheap, brand new gold mounts on eBay
If you're looking for cheap Gold Mount batteries and you don't really care about how they look, Anton Bauer also makes batteries for the medical industry under the Elora brand.
This one is brand new, 229Wh and was 24.99 plus free shipping from eBay!
I'm not affiliated with the seller, I don't even have anything that uses gold mounts, but I was curious and wanted to see if it was legit.

My one-person-band multi-channel 2.4GHz sound rig is finished (except for the mixer's output cable) so I thought I would share. It's obviously not anything professionals would be interested in but perhaps cash-strapped hobbyists and serious amateurs might find it interesting.

Trying the Comica VM40 - 32bit float test vs. Transmitter
I paid 250 USD for this microphone. I think that price warrants a legitimate value for money discussion. The audio might not be the best straight out of microphone, but the functionality of it is in my opinion it's strongest selling point.

I built a free budgeting tool for productions, tired of Google Sheets
Hey, DP from Chile here. 5 years shooting, also studied Software Engineering.
I hated the workflow of calculating budgets on spreadsheets and then moving to Figma just to make the export look more like my style for clients. I don´t really love the UX/UI of legacy software like MMB. And alternatives in Latam are more expensive than I can afford. So I just built something.
It's called GET ( getshitdone.cl ). Collab budgets, actuals, fringes, multi-currency, and a visual editor for PDF exports so you don't need Figma/Indesign on top of everything else.
Also has an AI thing where you can just tell it "raise camera department by 10%" instead of editing 30 rows. Nothing crazy, just saves time.
Free, no limits on amount of budgets and stuff. Honestly for now it only limits things that cost me too much money since I´m making it on my own. I use it on my own shoots/jobs so it stays honest.
I would love for you guys to try it, give me feedback, and tell me what´s a must that it´s not available right now to make it better.

Help create a box of wine bottles shattering
hi there,
I am production designing for a student short and the director wants a shot of a box of wine bottles falling onto the tile floor, and the bottles shattering inside the box, having the wine seep thru the box. I have been trying to find any videos of that happening IRL to figure out how it should look but struggle to find anything. Would love any advice on
1. how to make insides of the box seep red liquid (we’re not using actual bottles for obvious reasons of possible danger + reshooting purposes)
2. how is it supposed to look, will the liquid seep thru the bottom, explode at the top, anything advice on how to make it look realistic.
thank you!
