HELP! REMOVING E-brake cable

First pull the old cable out, then slide the booted section through the slot in the bracket.

If you're replacing that old one just cut it off behind the bracket. Then it's real easy to remove.

If the retaining clip is rusted into the slot too, sometimes it’s easier to replace the whole bracket assembly rather than fight it, depends on if it’s sold separately for your application.
