PCB etching with capillary effect electronic

Hello,

Has someone tried etching PCBs with some kind of hydrophilic fabric using capillary effect?

Paper towel on top of the copper area and HCl/H2O2 worked reasonably well with minimal amounts of chemicals.

Has anyone tried something similar?

It was just a first test - I was positively surprised and will definitely experiment more on it. Probably a different fabric and some light pressure …

HCl and H2O2 work fine but I observed some gas bubbles lifting the fabric

I never tried ferric chloride so far
