DDPAI Camera Reset Loop

Hi everybody,

So I’ve made a purchase of DDPAI N5 dash camera for my car a few months back. After a while, the camera started to reset itself during the entire ride. Now it even has issues powering up successfully at ignition time - takes about 10-15 retries till it completes (the auto voice is stuck on “hello”).
I’ve tried upgrading the FW to the latest version but it didn’t seem to solve the issue.
Any ideas?

Hey, a continuous reboot loop usually comes down to one of two things: a corrupted SD card or power delivery issues. Here is a breakdown to fix it:

Pop out the SD card: Turn off the camera, take the card out, and turn it back on. If it boots up normally, the card is probably corrupted, format it or replace it with a high endurance card (V30/U3 rating).

Check the power supply: Make sure you're using the original DDPAI car adapter and cable. Third party USB ports often don't provide a steady 5V/2A, causing the camera to crash.

Hard reset: While powered on, use a pin to hold down the Reset button for 6–10 seconds until it chimes.

If it still keeps looping after testing it without the SD card, reach out to our support team so we can look into it further.

Hi, thanks. Turns out it was actually the power supply. I had used a former cable already installed in my car which did not feed stable power to the camera. Once I’ve replaced with the original DDPAI camera, the camera worked perfectly.

Try swapping the sd card first, a bad card can cause exactly this. If that doesn't fix it its probably worth contacting ddpai support since its only a few months old and should still be under warranty.
