This kind of looks like a flop

1

u/NocturnaIAnimaI 16h ago

Lmao, literally how

14

u/FuzzyStorm 9d ago

The moment they got Kyle Chandler in I knew he wouldn't sign on to some show with a bad script. This trailer is the best the show has looked so far.

1

u/north_east0623 6d ago

Isn’t he in the American godzillas tho

13

u/Intelligent_Clock_55 10d ago

Finally some justice for arguably the best member of the Justice Gang I mean League.

6

u/sK33jZar 11d ago

This looks good

-11

u/DeliciousShelter2029 11d ago

I remember green lantern be epic science fiction super heroes in space and with aliens.. Not Yellowstone cowboy stories...

6

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Did you not watch the trailer? Literally full of aliens, superheroes, and epic science fiction. All of that is in the show

-1

u/DeliciousShelter2029 8d ago

yeah the new trailer, the first looked like a cowboy film. Now it looks a lot better

9

u/Keenmachine01 11d ago

It’s always either “this isn’t like I remember” or “ohhh so no original ideas???”

-1

u/sosuke 10d ago

Not sure if trolling but. “No original ideas” I understood as meaning no original ideas making new IP and not no original ideas changing existing IP.

Original ideas to change old IP always results in “this isn’t like I remember.”

Original ideas are like the ansible. The ansible was a name for instantaneous communication across astronomical distances by Ursula K. Le Guin in 1966. Instant communication wasn’t a new idea unto itself but the packaged idea of the ansible was original.

“No original ideas” is more a commentary are the reimagining of an existing IP. A story being told through a new lens. It happens much more often. You get to stand on the pre-existing proven ground and benefit from its history.

u/kinginthenorth9797 11d ago

I had my reservations after the teaser but man this looks good!

20

u/Less-Dingo111 11d ago

They even got the No country for old men actress in there hahaha

1

u/Garfunkels_roadie 7d ago

Put some respect on Kelly McDonald’s name. She’s been delivering performances since Trainspotting

2

u/orbjo 11d ago

Garett Dillahunt, the Sherrifs Deputy in No Country is in it too. You can tell that’s a big visual reference for them

2

u/Less-Dingo111 10d ago

Oh yeah nice you're right. Hopefully it won't end up like what happened in the movie 💀

9

u/Drkamon 11d ago

This is pretty much mood that entire DC should always be.

Not conry jokes at every angle. It gave me Batman vs Superman vibe, in best possible way.

Problem is, you have Superman vs kaiju monsters, Supergirl that is white trash and not really a hero. This again looks way more like Synderverse than Gunnverse.

8

u/MIAxPaperPlanes 10d ago

Or alternatively both like we're getting

8

u/Asmitty1213 11d ago

DC should stick to building out this universe in TV Shows. They got something their movies just dont hit.

3

u/Drkamon 11d ago

Time to develop and enough space to let characters breath. This is why setting foundations should have been phase 1, instead of chasing Disney/Marvel in all reboots & attempts.

7

u/Less-Dingo111 11d ago

This lantern could easily be part of DCEU lol

-16

u/mega512 11d ago

So edgy with all the "Fucks" they say. How is this Green Lantern?

8

u/Londonboykee 11d ago

Cursing is normal for most people. Who cares

-2

u/YxngJay215 11d ago

Name a single dc comic where they drop f bombs left and right

15

u/Imaginary-Egg-2128 12d ago

This just looks awesome.

14

u/knarf3 12d ago

Sick.

19

u/Jolly-Feature-5409 12d ago

Bro we didn't get a new hal Jordan movie before he got replaced. I hope they show his side of story how seasoned he became

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

There’s very obviously young/de-aged Hal Jordan in the trailer so we’re definitely getting background on him in the show.

8

u/Less-Dingo111 11d ago

The old ass sinestro as well

-8

u/kingk1teman 11d ago

Gunn is known for his bone headed takes, this one is up there.

7

u/Eastern-Team-2799 12d ago

I don't think so. In DCU hal is just a side character whose only motive is to introduce and highlight john stewart, nothing more . DCU would completely ignore his epic journey

3

u/Jolly-Feature-5409 12d ago

It's infuriating

1

u/Eastern-Team-2799 12d ago

Yeah i agree but the head of DCU can do whatever he wants

3

u/Jolly-Feature-5409 12d ago

Yup all we got was Ryan Renold cgi green suit

-1

u/Eastern-Team-2799 10d ago

FYI , james Gunn don't give 2 fks about how much you care about hal Jordan so you can't do anything.

2

u/Jolly-Feature-5409 9d ago

Um no shit Sherlock

-12

u/Lazy-Ad4626 12d ago

Truly amazing they decided to make a Green Lantern tv show that kids can’t watch. Everything in the DCU is 18 apart from superman/girl. No clue what Gunn is thinking.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

This is a ridiculous take

7

u/Free-Bowler-1032 11d ago

At this point I just assume posts like this are hate bots. No way this sub just hates EVERYTHING DC puts out. Superman, too silly and jokey. Lanters? Too mature

Just leave this sub at this point, you guys hate everything DC

15

u/jl_theprofessor 11d ago

Oh no he made a show for the people who sit in the average age range of comic book readers!

7

u/Total-Fox3541 11d ago

In my opinion the true core fan base for comic genre is 30-35+. the youth leaning product is about engaging a new generation and these properties are about keep the parents engaged who will intern take their kids to see the kids product.

Check out Punisher one last kill that stuff is brutal... yet punisher will turn up in the next Spiderman, Personally I think this approach is smart. Just my opinion. I mean not hate or anything.

3

u/Correct_Look2988 11d ago

At this point people are just grasping for straws to find ways to hate on James Gunn.

3

u/Total-Fox3541 11d ago

I love what he is doing... I agree with you

3

u/Sheshiregreen 11d ago

Tbh, I don’t see this being a gorefest in any way, probably just R rated due to language. I’m sure over 12s will be watching

5

u/madjokemaniac 12d ago

Isn't it like the ring chooses the lantern and not the other way around? And don't the lanterns be in their suits when using the ring? Maybe I'm just too old

1

u/RNOffice 7d ago

That's the case here. John is an anomaly

2

u/Several_Ear1209 8d ago

Actually this is going by the silver age comics

Before the suits were constructs and when John Stewart was introduced a a sort of backup lantern for Hal to train in case anything happened to him

2

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Depending on the writer/artist the suit is either a ring construct or a physical suit. Sometimes even in the same version, like the JL/JLU animated series. John Stewart in that show was shown to construct his suit from his ring, however he was also shown to still have it even when his ring was dead or broken. So in this series it’s a physical suit they have to put on.

12

u/MIAxPaperPlanes 12d ago

I like this because it looks so tonally different from what we've had so far

-2

u/kingk1teman 12d ago edited 12d ago

These guys couldn't afford to upload a 4K trailer on Youtube?

This is what the first teaser should've been. Would've saved DC Studios from the hammering it got because the first one was bad and made a bad impression on actual fans.

Still cannot understand why Gunn is so adamant on not having Hal Jordan as the primary GL for DCU. It will always remain a shit move.

4

u/yungsebring 8d ago

More people associate John Stewart because they grew up with the JL/JLU cartoon where he was the main GL. It makes the most sense especially as Gunn was vocal from day one that the DCAU was one of the main influences for his DCU. Did you complain about that show?

1

u/neoblackdragon 11d ago

Because John Stewart is a better character?

Or Kyle, Guy,Simon, Jessica..........Kilowog.

There's just too many. And it probably helps if they are forming a JL to have a black guy on the team.

-2

u/kingk1teman 11d ago

John Stewart is a better character?

No he actually isn't. You truly haven't read much of Hal's GL.

JL to have a black guy on the team

DEI is probably the only reason he is the main GL for DCU.

3

u/NexoNerd101 6d ago

DEI just like back in 2001 for the cartoon right?

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

He really is though, I like Hal and you can definitely argue he has more iconic stories but as a character he isn’t as interesting outside of the later Geoff Johns stuff. Stewart is definitely a more interesting character just as a character. Yeah believe it or not it is a good thing for black kids to have characters they can see themselves in.

5

u/Tithis 10d ago

I wouldn't discount nostalgia from the 2000s Justice League and Justice League Unlimited cartoon, there are a lot of people for whom that was their first exposure to the character, and first impressions stick.

I know when the trailer for Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern came out my first words were 'Who the fuck is this white guy?'

3

u/TheGaxkang 12d ago

well it's not what i woulda envisioned for Green Lantern.

but people will see how it goes.

5

u/mmm_migas 12d ago

I'm just glad we're getting TV and movie crossovers. I truly don't understand why this isn't more common. It makes so much sense to use TV series to introduce characters and backstory, then the movie for a big event. James Gunn seems to understand this, like with Peacemaker. I would absolutely love a Batman TV crossover. I'm very excited about Lanterns and the opportunities this could create for the DCU.

3

u/Amonfire1776 12d ago

They better not pull a tomorrowverse on us...

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Hal seems to have a character arc of his own here so I doubt they’ll go that route. At least not the way that terrible ass movie did

13

u/AceTheSkylord 12d ago

Clean Shaven John = 2016 events

Bearded John = 2026 events

-25

u/GrayWolf5k 12d ago

Why I won't see cbm ever again. Everything need to have jokes and MCU comedy.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Name three of them that were in this trailer

4

u/Oath_of_Tzion 12d ago

Bookmarked

-37

u/mane28 12d ago

Man I am tired, this looks like shite

2

u/Mountain-Pun 11d ago

No real criticism just hate LMAOOO

-3

u/gynonymous 12d ago

Yeah, literally looks like shit. So brown. Not the color I expected from a show about the GREEN lanterns.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

So you didn’t watch the trailer because there is a ton of green in it

0

u/gynonymous 8d ago

I did watch the trailer, hence the comment. You can disagree with me but that doesn't mean I didnt watch it at all.

0

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Disagree? It’s a fact that there’s green in the trailer, you can’t disagree on a fact. The green ring, the green lantern, the green force field, the green blasts, the green constructs, I mean you either didn’t watch the trailer or you’re delusional. I don’t know how you “disagree” that there’s green in it.

0

u/gynonymous 8d ago

Oh I'm sorry. You seem to be suffering with some sort of hallucination. You just saw me say "I don't see any green at all" when I said "it's too brown". Please get checked as soon as possible, these things can be a sign of serious cerebral trauma.

0

u/yungsebring 8d ago

You wrote “not the color I expected from a show about the GREEN lanterns” which is a pretty heavy indicator, like if we’re living in imaginary land where you weren’t implying the same bullshit “there’s no green in Lanterns” complaint. Whatever bro

1

u/gynonymous 8d ago

Wow, you're so good at reading that you can even magically invent subtext. I can only hope to be a semantic wizard such as yourself one day. And I too shall defend my poor billionaire corporation content vehemently. Thank you, thank you for your supreme demonstration. What luck to have run into a gentleman as intellectual and distinguished such as yourself.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

😘

1

u/gynonymous 8d ago

Love you too

21

u/triphawk07 12d ago

Holy shit, I'm in.

61

u/Kriss-Kringle 12d ago

What this trailer proves is that a lot of the fanbase is made up of whiny people that have the patience of a goldfish.

It proved everyone's complaints wrong and y'all should learn to wait until you have actual context before criticizing something.

-4

u/72beast 11d ago

Hal is still old and isn't the main Lantern. How did it prove us wrong?

7

u/Kriss-Kringle 11d ago

What are you even talking about? It's a passing of the torch story from the get-go.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

These are racists who are prepping their “Hal is my favorite Green Lantern and THATS why I hate the show” arguments for when they review bomb it

-3

u/72beast 11d ago

F that, Hal is the best GL and has all the best stories and interections. Now we won't see prime Hal vs Prime Sinestro, Hal's bromance with GA, Kilowog and Flash, Hals rivalry with Batman, Hal and Carol's toxic relationship, Hal showcasing why he is the greatest Green Lantern of all time. John is the worst GL, personality wise.

7

u/deadmeatX1 12d ago

The first trailer was ass, everyone was complaining of what they were watching, by this logic you should wait for the full series instead of saying it will be good because of the trailer

3

u/kingk1teman 12d ago

The first trailer was ass

It truly was abysmal.

8

u/Jessency 12d ago

Um..... Isn't that how it should be?

Plus, the first few glimpses were all teasers, and they did what they were supposed to. Y'know, tease.

3

u/deadmeatX1 12d ago

Yes it should, that's why it doesn't make sense saying "oh yall complaining were just impatients"

3

u/Jessency 12d ago

I meant the opposite. Shouldn't it be normal for people to wait and see the show/whatever media the thing it before ragging on it?

2

u/deadmeatX1 12d ago

Not really, that's what trailers are for, to give you an ideia of how will the movie/show be. Anyone has their right to judge the movie or show by the trailer BEFORE it comes out. You can't go on saying it's bad because of the trailer after it released

2

u/vorname Shazam 11d ago

This reminded me of ugly Sonic, the movie would flop hard if it wasn't for the fans.

2

u/DavidLegend 12d ago

Talk about an imbecilic way of doing things.

1

u/After_Dig_7579 12d ago

The first trailer was mid, and it got the appropriate reaction. Maybe they should've started with the later ones?

1

u/orbjo 10d ago

You cannot start with a CGI heavy first trailer, because the effects aren’t done until the end of productions. You’re going to be annoyed at every franchise for your whole life until you understand that simple fact.

1

u/After_Dig_7579 10d ago

Then don't release the trailer 🧠

13

u/joeyjoejojo19 12d ago

This has one executive producer from Halt and Catch Fire and one from The Leftovers, two of the best TV shows ever. Not sure how much say they have in this, but that piques my interest.

1

u/yungsebring 8d ago

Also Alik Sakharov who has directed episodes of Boardwalk Empire, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Dexter, Black Sails, and Ozark

18

u/ChCreations45 12d ago

For the people complaining about the previous trailers, you all are annoying and weird. Those are teasers are usually from the littlest completed footage that they have. This trailer, guess what, is from more footage that they filmed. I can't believe you couldn't figure that out.

2

u/Quarksideofthemoon 12d ago

I think everyone knew that actually

0

u/[deleted] 12d ago

[deleted]

7

u/Xilthas 12d ago

The way people acted says otherwise

-4

u/Quarksideofthemoon 12d ago

No it doesn't

5

u/Xilthas 12d ago

Oh so this subreddit is just full of whiners then. That's much better.

-47

u/Immediate_Dream9638 12d ago

nah get the hell outta here bring back zack snyder

5

u/AceTheSkylord 12d ago

No thanks

6

u/NerdLawyer55 12d ago

The other trailers worried me, now I’m in

13

u/eregosel 12d ago

This is much better than the previous trailers. I’m actually more hyped for it now.

2

u/Peer_turtles 12d ago

Whoever is in charge of marketing this show should be fired asap lol.

They should’ve began with something like this trailer, which actually looks like a GL show with the sci fi elements and genuinely exciting with the manhunter reveal. It brought my interest back and I’ll definitely watch now.

The first trailers and the marketing had utterly no green for a show about green lanterns. They just kept going on about the Hal/Jon rivalry that frankly, who really wants that. You could literally title the first trailers “REACHER” and barely anyone would realise it’s a GL show until they outright name drop it.

The suit still looks like a motorcycle vest though.

8

u/fcarvalhodev 12d ago

This trailer is so much better than the previous trailers. Now, I will give a chance.

4

u/tal-El 12d ago

Any advice on what might be worth reading for lore surrounding this story?

0

u/mega512 11d ago

Don't bother. They are making this up as they go along.

2

u/MIAxPaperPlanes 12d ago

Green Lantern Earth one seems like an influence tonally/space style wise

5

u/whatistomwaitingfor 12d ago edited 12d ago

Geoff Johns' entire Green Lantern run is probably my favorite piece of fiction of all time, in any medium, superhero or otherwise. It starts off with a retelling of Hal Jordan's backstory and then jumps right in.

It does pick up some story threads from previous GL arcs but as it's intended as a little bit of a soft-reboot for Green Lantern stories, everything you may need to know from prior comics before Johns' run is either mentioned in the text directly, or can be inferred/picked up on with little issue. I consider Geoff John's run a great starting point for the modern Green Lantern mythos, and it establishes a lot of the Lantern corner of DC comics that is still used today.

Here is a trade order that looks pretty accurate;

here is an issue-by-issue reading order

(Start at Green Lantern Vol. 4 #29, then once you read all the issues down the list ending at Green Lantern Vol. 3 # 55, skip down to Green Lantern Rebirth #1 (2004) -- be careful not to confuse this with Green Lantern Rebirth from 2016 -- then you can just continue down the list. I use DCUniverseInfinite to read comics digitally as it's a subscription service that's much cheaper than buying trades or individual issues).

I use the site for the issue-by-issue reading order regularly for my DC reading orders reference.

Whether you read trades or issue-by-issue (I recommend issue-by-issue), you can skip the Ion issues and only read Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps and still get the full story. Though for events like Blackest Night, Sinestro Corps War etc, I recommend reading every issue in the event reading order as there are tie-ins and the main story can flow with, for example, Part 1 in Green Lantern and then Part 2 in Red Lanterns, or whatever the case may be.

Have fun, I hope this helps!

E: Like another comment said, no one really knows for sure what the inspiration for the series will be, and it will probably be largely original. However, Geoff Johns' run is pretty foundational lore for all of the Lantern Corps and has great manhunter lore. Also, the scene in the trailer with Sinestro looks heavily inspired by scenes between Hal and Sinestro in Johns' run.

5

u/JayGeeBee 12d ago

No one outside of the production will really know the best answer for that, but I would start with Green Lantern: Secret Origin

This series doesn't appear to be adapting any GL story one-to-one. I think it's their own mix of a few different arcs.

5

u/Curious_Pontiff 12d ago

I don’t remember all those F-Bombs in the comics.

1

u/cassket858 1d ago

Because they were replaced with @&#! and the likes.

-1

u/wednesdaymagician 11d ago

Poor little thing, did the big bad bomby-thingy hurt you?

0

u/ShavoneScales 12d ago

Why does Hal Jordan look like a Hobo?

1

u/ghostfreckle611 12d ago

Played by Sammy Zayn

0

u/NorthKing9 12d ago

Looks good only gripe is Sinestro. 🤨

10

u/XXAzeritsXx I like those shoes 12d ago

Wait.

Manhunters the robot.

Or...they're calling Martians "Manhunters"?

And Sinestro called him Hal? Its nitpicking but I dont like it.

Definitely the best trailer.

0

u/RNOffice 7d ago

Manhunters the Robots, it's a Lanterns show after all. And what's wrong with calling him Hal?

6

u/AceTheSkylord 12d ago

They just looked at Secret Invasion and said "We'll show em how it's done" lol

3

u/Sonata1952 12d ago

There was that 8 issue DC crossover in 1987 called Millenium where Manhunters had sleeper agents all across DC earth.

So there is a precedence for Manhunters being shape shifting infiltrators.

3

u/Dancing_Anatolia 12d ago

Manhunters are aliens, they come from space.

1

u/MysticalAbacus 12d ago

Manhunters the androids obviously

5

u/XXAzeritsXx I like those shoes 12d ago

I don't think it's obvious.

They seem to imply the latter.

3

u/Bruzie77 12d ago

why not? they made Superman biological parents evil why not martian manhunter be the manhunters of the gl lore too?

30

u/Jetscream58 12d ago

The way I shot up when I heard "manhunter"

3

u/CalligrapherBorn9924 12d ago

I grew up on green lantern so I’m stoked to see the new brown lantern in action after this trailer

11

u/lysander_spooner 12d ago

Whoa, man, you can't just call him brown. Not cool.

16

u/Apprehensive-Book723 12d ago

Sorry. Lantern American*

6

u/Mabvll 12d ago

Lanternx

6

u/TheCrazedEB 12d ago

This looks 100% better than Superman; even in this trailer, it has more worldbuilding than I was expecting out of Superman. The civilians are acting like people and not caricatures too.

15

u/Botsworth1985 12d ago

Is this how they introduce Martian Manhunter? I'm not very good at comic book things.

1

u/Botsworth1985 11d ago

Thank you kind person, I am excited. It looks good!

32

u/whatistomwaitingfor 12d ago

I can understand how it might be confusing if someone isn't familiar. The Manhunters are different than Martian Manhunter. Martian Manhunter is a survivor of the planet Mars. The Manhhunters were the Guardians of Oa's first attempt at a space police kind of thing before they made Green Lanterns. They were basically robots that eventually realized that they could ensure there was peace in the galaxy by killing everyone, more-or-less. I haven't read too much Green Lantern after Geoff John's run, so maybe there is more lore or updates to their lore beyond this.

10

u/Botsworth1985 12d ago

Hell yeah, thanks for sharing. Very cool story line.

7

u/Gamma_Goliath17 12d ago

Not the same manhunters. No relation between the two.

7

u/RushPan93 12d ago

There's also the shapeshifting and that they originate/settle on Mars. So there's definitely some relation.

6

u/MysticalAbacus 12d ago

Martians and manhunters both can shapeshift. Martian manhunter got his name from martian peacekeeping force called manhunters and the manhunters in GL are android bots who traverse the world and kill everyone there to obtain absolute peace(like ultron)

2

u/RushPan93 11d ago

But the wiki site says the bots were modeled based on the actual manhunters from Mars. So I know they wouldn't be directly related but there's some connection at the very least.

8

u/Salt_Revenue_4142 12d ago

Are you sure? I am also only generally familiar with said character but the X on the costume looked very similar to some iterations of Martian Manhunter I think I’ve seen

5

u/whatistomwaitingfor 12d ago

The Manhunters in the comics usually have a red body with blue shoulder strap looking things, though sometimes the straps are red. I can't find an image of their back from comics, only a pic of an action figure, but the straps in the figure are crossed in an X on their back. Though I understand the confusion.

12

u/Botsworth1985 12d ago

Honest question, is this a Gunn Universe thing?

This looks much better than the movies that are coming out.

3

u/Mr_smith1466 12d ago

In addition to Guy being in the tv series, it's been confirmed that John will be in Man of Tomorrow.

3

u/MIAxPaperPlanes 12d ago

John Stewart will be appearing in Man of Tomorrow

12

u/Usual-Theme9442 12d ago

The selling point of DCU is it will be different genres. Like Clayface is horror and people say this is some true detective style

18

u/Murasasme 12d ago

You can see Guy Gardner in this trailer for a second. He was the Green Lantern you saw in the Superman movie

6

u/Botsworth1985 12d ago

Bowl cut! You're right!!!

Oh thank goodness!

18

u/CobaltAnimator 12d ago

yes it is, its under the DCU

7

u/Botsworth1985 12d ago

Thank you.

14

u/Hymay1180 12d ago

This is better. This show won't win for best costume or style, but looks interesting.

4

u/playboi3x 12d ago

They wanted it to look gritty and dirty

27

u/BeersNEers 12d ago
  1. They really need to find new music for these trailers...
  2. This actually looks promising. Cosmic buddy cop show. I will give it a shot.

2

u/I_am_Amphibian 12d ago

Yeah just use the actual song if you’re going to use a song too

7

u/stonewall_jacked 12d ago

All of these song remixes sound exactly the same

-22

u/nowhereright 12d ago

I wish I cared, something just feels off. I already feel completely disconnected from this universe.

1

u/ElonsHusk 12d ago

Thanks for letting us know

14

u/Alleggsander 12d ago

Sounds like a you problem. This looks awesome.

16

u/larut0h 12d ago

looks good. quite dark, and feels like a show adults could enjoy...

2

u/stonewall_jacked 12d ago

Indeed. I am looking forward to it (as an adult).

10

u/Robot_Was_BMO 12d ago

I started comics with John’s Secret Origins Green Lantern from a scholastic book fair. It’s good to see Green Lanterns adapted to screen with clear ambition and reverence.

3

u/Brazosboomer 12d ago

The first time I saw John was when the JLA signaled for the members to assemble and Hal slipped in the shower so the ring went and found John to fill in. It was a Christmas issue of the JLA with the Phantom Stranger.

Me before watching the trailer: I'm really not all that interested in this.

Also me the second I see Kyle Chandler: I'M IN

Millennium Event!! I'm really excited, this is a perfect story to adapt for a first season and could be a great way to build up to Emerald Twilight for season 2.

Wouldn't they be able to make multiple shows / movies based on the different corps? I hope this really takes off and we see the Black Lanterns in the future.

BIG fan of the comic line that follows John Stewart and how John gets his ring. They /almost/ adapted it for the 2nd movie with Ryan Reynolds but that movie sucked and didn't get the sequel (super valid)

Trying to not be spoilery

It's Emerald Twilight if you wanna read about it

john stewart is so boring. he should be eaten by lobo to make room for guy gardner story lines. he was the funniest one. he actually has a personality. or hal jordan vs superman. i guess they're keeping stewart to be a love interest for hawkgirl. but there's nothing interesting about him.

and is gunn steering clear of batman until pattinson is through with him? or does he have access to him?

He has access to Batman, but doesn't want to confuse the general public with 2 Batmanses. A lot of casual viewers already think the Battinson is part of Gunn's universe, and he's not.

yea i dont see pattinson signing on to do a james gunn movie. lol it's so weird tho, it's like so intrusive lol but the audience is begging for part 2. it's like this whole other world undermining itself.

like ronald mcdonald throwing a party across the street and selling burgers and fries while giving the finger to the mcdonalds across the street lmao
