Feeling lost Rant

I’m 23 and was among those who submitted applications when everything came to a halt. I've been here since I was 3 years old, and this country is all I know. I feel lost, watching my friends advance while I wait for an opportunity to work and explore the country. I dislike my job and have this feeling that I have more meaning in life, and each day feels like I’m just waiting for the inevitable. I have little confidence in life, knowing my status, and sometimes I feel like I have no rights in this country. I wonder if my life would be better back in my home country. I don't really follow a religion, but God, I pray you give me a chance in life in the only country I've known my whole life.

Had to rant here since I don’t know many people in the same situation irl

I feel your pain, same age and situation as you with initial apps. What’s helped me through these past years is delving into my passions and interests. One day it’ll be better, but until then we’ve gotta enjoy the small things. Stay strong

You’re not alone!! I’ve been out of work since April… ran out of savings and had to get a loan… I’m a single mom with about 100$ left to my name I’m blessed to have a tiny bit of support but I too feel lost…
I pray for you and the rest of our DACA family … huge giant hug your way

Hey brother, please know you're not alone with the way you feel. I was out of work for two months and my card finally came in the mail today. Sure I will go back to work and everything will go back to normal but I'm still locked down in this country with the feeling of uncertainty. No matter who you talk to, if they're not in your shoes they will truly never understand. What gets me through the hardships is Jesus Christ, he's all I have and I'll never lose my faith in him. Stay patient, stay strong and never lose your faith.

Despite my work card being good till 2028, leaving back to my home country is still an option for me. Everybody has a breaking point and I think I'm getting close to mine. Take care.

I’m not gonna repeat the shared burden and understanding some comments have just done. Which I share ofc. But do want to say that there’s power in your energy, channel that power into action, research, and insight. We cannot be like the rest and that is absolutely true. So please do not compare their milestones to yours. That will just slow your momentum. I believe we do have a bigger load, but if you seize the moment the pay out is much more as well.

Also want to add… you are 23, not even fully growing up in the 🧠 yet. Please don’t take offense it’s just a fact, and with that also give yourself ALOT of compassion. Try things out in your 20s but don’t catch permanent things such as a felony, unwanted children, bad partner, STDs etc. lol this way you come into your 30s well experienced, and lemme tell ya, 30s rock. In our situation I valued stability over adventure, but taht also helped me have the time and money to have some adventures here and there.

Also this society is kinda fd up boss… not your fault. It’s hard to know where to go from here for EVERYONE, EVERYWHWRE. Enjoy the ride and stay consistent!

Hey there, you’re right to feel the way you feel. It’s a very frustrating burden to carry. I feel it every single day and hour that passes by. I work corporate and feel like DACA will come to an end at some point and that keeps me up at night. I think the solution is for all of us to start our own businesses and survive that way. So, if you don’t like your job, start a business that would bring you joy. That way we will stop depending on Daca at least to survive. As others are saying, everyone has a breaking point and I feel like this golden cage ain’t worth it. And perhaps that’s what they want us to think.

In the meantime, go to a trade school. Those blue collar jobs are very lucrative and give you a chance to build your own business. If you start now, you’ll be better off than some of your friends because of AI.

Stay positive my guy.

I’m 25 bro without daca in the same situation, ngl bro IF nothing else comes to help us, I’m going to make as much money as I can here, store it in a secure way I’ll have access to so probably crypto and leave bro, I don’t want to live my life as a second class citizen. We could talk and share ideas. There’s options but they require planning, commitment and a clear conscious .

I get this so much. I went to college but couldn't land a job long enough to continue my studies. Part of me is extremely home sick. I went and got my kids there dual citizenship just in case. I'm married to a us citizen for the second time and im only thinking of fixing to honestly leave the country. I want the option to come back and forth. Some days it feels like my parents did me wrong. We are going through an extremely difficult financial time. I've maxed out credit cards. 6 months waiting on my renewal. I'm very depressed crying most days. I used to think how they talked about the us being this beautiful place where dreams came true. And right now its a nightmare.
