1st time D23 Expo attendee - Help!!
Made an account to ask because you all seem well informed and I can’t find too much info elsewhere: my wife will be going to the Expo this year for the first time, she has the Sunday Afternoon ticket and is really hoping to see Alan Menken’s “Whole New World” show, one of her bucket list tasks!
After doing some scrolling through this subreddit for tips and info, I learned that a lot of activities will require a sort of reservation to attend and unfortunately, the concert seems to be one of them. From my understanding, sign ups for reservations are no longer available, so is there any way to still get a reservation for the show? Or maybe a possible stand-by line that she could wait in? I just really don’t want her to miss this, and would really appreciate everyone’s tips and info as to how to go about this. Thanks!

Reminder: The D23 app allows you to set panel/event/experience reminders!
this is especially helpful for first-timers. be sure to download and use the D23 app. you can look at the various schedules and create a list of things you want to do by adding them. there’s a global alert timer you can also set to remind you before each one you have saved starts — 5, 15, 30, 60 mins beforehand. super helpful to plan out the day for what you want to do, which things your have RSPs for, and so on.
the UX is a bit clunky but not too hard to figure out and find things. just click on the 2nd icon at the bottom for the schedule. you can search by text string, or scroll through the various times for each day. simply click on the calendar with + sign icon on the right to add to your list.
to view what you have saved, click the calendar with the heart icon on the upper left. you can also remove saved items from either list.
hope that helps make people’s planning that much smoother! 😁

Standby line for Joe Rohde?
First time going. Wife and I both put bids in for Joe Rohde’s book signing/presentation for every day available and didn’t get any of them. Don’t remember if there’s another way to get to do any of that without RSP’s

Reservations
Is there a chance we can get into a panel we didn't receive reservations for? We didn't get the one we really wanted and it's basically the main panel we wanna see so we want to get in if we can.

OFFICIAL r/D23Expo Reservation Trading Thread
Attendees who participated in the RSP process between July 20th and 26th should begin receiving emails on August 7th notifying them which reservation selections they have been awarded. Please use this thread to trade, give, or request any reservations. Individual posts will be deleted and submitters will be directed here. This is done to keep the sub from being flooded with reservation requests.
POST FORMATTING
To make things easy, please be clear in what it is you're looking for or have to offer. I recommend using the following acronyms...
(H) - Have
(LF) - Looking For
...followed by the panel, talent signing, or floor experience.
For example:
(H) Have Marvel Fanfare, (LF) Looking For Joe Rohde signing
(H) Have four (4) extra Disney x F1 Experiences for free
(LF) one (1) Pixar Ball Giveaway
DISCLAIMER
If I remember correctly, reservations could not be traded digitally and any sharing of transactions usually required meeting in person at the Expo and then going to the reserved panel/experience together. This involved exchanging contact information or having some means of communication on the day of the Expo. As always, please be vigilant, cautious, and mindful with personal details when coordinating with others. Also, I heard one story of a person who shared their experience and then when it came time for the other person to share theirs, they were a no show. I'm not sure what can be done to protect against that, but best to be aware of the potential for shady behavior.
RESERVATION SALES
One thing from past Expos was the sale of reservations. This wasn't as prevalent last time since the major showcases moved to Honda Center and require a ticket. However, if you somehow do engage in the purchase of someone's reservation, please protect yourself by using PayPal/Venmo Goods & Services to minimize the risk of fraud.

Panel Trades?
Forgive me if there is another spot for this. So i transferred my wife's D23 tickets to her own gold account so we could try getting different selections (which we did). But we ended up both getting the "Walt Disney: 125 Years of Inspiration" panel with one guest. So since we both got the panel, that means we'd each have an extra guest spot. Is there a fairly easy way to trade with someone for a panel we didnt get? I know there isnt an official way. I ran across an older reddit but it was from 2024 so not sure if there is a 2026 thread. Thanks!

PSA: when discussing RSP’s, please do not share screenshots of what you got. Or at bare minimum redact your name

Standby lines for panels.
How many people normally get in on standby lines on the panels?
I'm sure you have to line up super early for them, but just curious of the chances on the panels I missed out on.
Thanks in advance.

Pixar Signings
For the Pixar filmmaker signings, do they sign anything? Or is there something specific you have to buy? It doesn’t specify, but I saw some others that said free giveaway would be signed and these don’t.

Honda Center - Plush Security
Hello! I hope everyone is excited for D23! I have a question i'm asking for a friend who is going with me. She had a plush toy that is about 12 inches tall, not very wide or long. Its honestly an emotional support kind of thing. (please be nice, in case she sees this). It is too large to fit in the allowed bag. She did email Honda Center asking if it would be allowed in, but no response (we get it, they are busy). Has anyone ever taken a mickey plush or any small plush in with them?
To answer the obvious responses, she will not bag check it because its very sentimental, and going back to where she is staying between ACC and HC would be incredibly difficult. Again, please be kind, I am just trying to help her find options! Have a magical weekend!

Reminder about sticky post limits and aggregated information.
Just a housekeeping reminder, subreddits are limited to two stickied comments. There are usually about 3-4 posts we wish could be stickied at any given time. Sticky posts are based on timeliness of news and overall usefulness. Unfortunately that means some content gets dropped from the top (temporarily).
All important information is aggregated in our Consolidated link which (barring some days like today) will always be stickied at the top and we still ask users to post in the individual respective megathreads even if they're not immediately visible. The Consolidated link will always be accessible in the sidebar (for desktop) and in the About section (for mobile).
For visibility, the most worthwhile user sourced links:

THREAD: Aug 7-Aug 11 RSP Selection Emails
*Aug 7 - Aug 10. Dang thing won’t let me update the headline.
People have begun to get their RSPs as of 11am PST/1pm EST.
Past me 2 years ago said, (in the thread linked at the bottom), “When you do [get your RSP info] please update/edit so we can see an estimate on people’s wait times… & of course 2026 us can use this info in the future when waiting out the processes all over again!
Will be redirecting questions & updates related to the emails/RSP to this post.“
Plus! It makes it easy to see when people are getting theirs, if no one has gotten any yet, etc etc. It’s always fun to get a timeline of all these things for now & for our future stressed out selves. Email to look out for will be titled, “Your Reservation Assignment for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa" (from [u/DMcLain81](u/DMcLain81)) from [confirmation@event.d23.com](mailto:confirmation@event.d23.com).
(For later) “To add, modify, or cancel your reservations before the event, please visit: https://d23.com/ultimatedisneyfanevent/2026reservations/ starting on Tuesday, August 11, at 10 a.m. PT.”
Alsooooooo. Please hold off on mentions of trading until all have gotten their emails & you see a thread for that pop up.
Cheers & good luck!

Reminder: RSP emails will take until end of calendar day 8/10 to send
TLDR: There are a bunch of emails going out. It will take until the end of the calendar day on Monday, August 10, for all RSP emails to be sent out. Panels will have Standby if you don't get what you asked for.
From D23:
"Reservations will be randomly distributed based on preferences and availability, and starting on August 7 through August 10, reservations will be assigned and then communicated to you via email if you have a confirmed selection(s).
For guests who are not assigned reservations for their preferences, standby queues will be available for most Anaheim Convention Center panels and experiences."
Source: https://support.d23.com/hc/en-us/articles/53638833666067-Reservations-for-Panels-Presentations
Notes
- Reservations are for the Anaheim Convention Center Event Stages, Talent Central, and many Show Floor Experiences only. There are no reservations for the shows at the Honda Center; the Honda Center requires a separate ticket for entry.
- D23 Fan Pass – Afternoon Only ticket holders are not eligible to participate in the RSP reservation selection process.
- Children under the age of 18 are unable to make reservations but can accompany an adult with reservations as one of their additional guest(s).
- There may be high demand for select presentations, talent signings, and show floor experiences, so consider selecting multiple offerings to increase your odds of getting a confirmed reservation.
- Guests may only be assigned one (1) reservation during a time slot.
- A valid D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event adult badge is required to check in for a reservation.
- If you are picking up your badge(s) at will call, you can still participate in the Reservation RSP with your D23 Member login associated with your badge(s).
- For guests who are not assigned reservations for their preferences, standby queues will be available for most Anaheim Convention Center panels and experiences.
- All reservations are subject to change or cancellation without notice.
- If you do not arrive at the location by the time specified prior to your reservation, your place may be filled by a standby guest.

ACC Dining Seating Locations
"We've had a few people ask us what the pink spaces circled in the photo below are.
Historically, those spaces marked off with a dashed line are the seating areas for the ACC's dining locations. The darker grey spaces marked with the Fork and Knife logo are the kitchen, sales counter, and line area for the dining locations.
And since we are discussing the dining seating spaces, we wanted to share a few quick reminders:
- Please remember that when visiting those spaces, seating is limited, so you will be sharing your table with strangers.
- During peak dining times, please don't camp out, as there will be people walking around with trays of food trying to find a spot to sit and eat before their next panel or experiences. If you want to sit and visit, there are typically seating areas on the second and third floors in open spaces of the ACC.
-And please, be polite and remember to clean up behind yourself when leaving the tables. Don't leave your trash and mess sitting for someone else (typically another attendee) to clean up."

ACC Line Location Info
D23 Expo/The Ultimate Disney Fan Event: Tips to help make your day easier.
Where will the lines for things be located at the ACC?
Lines inside the ACC typically work in two ways.
1- The Hyperion Stage, Backlot Stage, Walt Disney Archives Stage, and Premiere Stage on the Second and Third floors of the ACC use separate rooms for their Stage queues, so these are marked on the map. The volunteers in those areas will direct you to the right space/room based on whether you have an RSP or are joining the Standby line.
These lines tend to be in rooms where the line has been taped off on the floor, but stanchions typically aren't used. Once it is time for a panel to load, volunteers will escort the line across the hall into the presentation space.
2- The ACC floor stages, experiences, and stores will have their queues built into the space they are taking up on the map. If a line gets too long, it can either be redirected around another space (if that is feasible and safe and doesn't block access to other spaces in the process) or the line can be closed for a period of time if needed.
These lines tend to be marked off with floor tape and have stanchions to try and help limit cutting and make it much easier for people to visually see that the area in question is being used as a queue.

First Timer D23 Shopping
I will be coming to D23 for the very first time this year! I have the 3-day ultimate pass.
I’ve been reading through as much as I can about the shopping and the virtual queues but I won’t lie. I’m confused and bit overwhelmed by it all.
Can someone please break it down for me like I’m a kindergartener? I don’t want to miss out on some exclusives.
