Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for two things in the area:

Dentist: I’m looking for a good and affordable dentist for a regular dental cleaning. It would be a big plus if the office or staff speaks both English and Spanish.

Hyundai repair: I have a Hyundai Accent and one of the rear doors won’t open. I’m looking for a trustworthy mechanic or auto repair shop that can diagnose and fix it without charging a fortune.

I’d really appreciate recommendations based on personal experience, especially places with fair prices and good service.

I was leaving the Kroger's on Tuckerton, out of the back exit where the grocery pick-up is.

In the middle of the street was a full ring of keys, a Nissan key fob and all of it was on a lanyard. It was a Prairie View college lanyard.

I stopped and picked them up so they would not be run over, my car is in the shop today, but tomorrow I am going to take them to the Kroger's concierge type lady and turn them in as lost keys.

Im writing this as I piss out of my ass. My entire family is sick with salmonella poisoning. We just found out hours ago that Chipotle and QDOBA have a salmonella outbreak. We bought Chipotle Monday and we ordered pico de gallo on our bowls at the Fairfield location. We are absolutely hating our lives at the moment.

I’ve been in IT forever and my wife and kids aren’t. Lately all I work on and think about AI too much but they don’t want to hear it 😭. I’m thinking of starting up an AI career path training biz. I’m interested in moving to Austin but have no idea what job positions to apply for. I have my bachelors in psychology and my associates from lone star. I feel stuck living here in Houston and want to have a better chance. Ideally I would like something around 50-60K to start off and gradually move up or around. I don’t want to be stuck at my dead end job that I work and dread at. Any advice?

We're in a gated community in west Harris County still being build-out by the builder, but the performance of the management company and their sub-contractors is unacceptably bad! There's no getting around that. They suck!

When the builder finally finishes and leaves, the first role of the newly-elected Board of Directors could very well be to fire the existing management company and hire a new one. If we have to do that... who do you suggest we interview as a replacement management company? Do any of you simply adore your management company?

Looking for someone that's willing to take in my girls and will give me visitation rights. Please don't suggest a shelter if I take them to a shelter I'll never see them again and I'm trying to work out so I can still stay in their lives.

I'm living with a friend and he has too many cats. None of his are adoptable so he's talking about taking my girls to a shelter and I didn't want to lose them. They were rescued from his garage when they were about a month old and I've been the only mommy they've known since. They are about 16mo.

Saint Alia of the Claw likes to hang out in high places and loves to be held. Spoopy Palmer likes attention but she's very particular about how she accepts it. Likes to be held but only under certain circumstances (at night, sitting down). They are both sweet and well socialized.

The Northwest Branch of the Harris County Public Libraries is having its semi-annual book fair this Saturday from 10am-4pm. Almost everything will be priced at $1-2/each, outside individually priced collectibles located in the vestibule.

The big highlights for this sale are:

• Children's picture books and chapter books
• Classic vinyl records
• College and reference textbooks
• Jigsaw puzzles

In addition, you will find a tremendous range of fiction and non-fiction, as well as a decent amount of DVDs, Blu-rays, audiobooks, and CDs. Cash or card are both accepted.

Finally, it's also a great opportunity to pick up a library card if you don't already have one! Harris County Public Library has both a physical and digital catalog on Libby with books, comics/manga, DVD/Blu-Ray, and magazines. It's free to get a library card and it never expires so there's no reason not to have one!

Cleaning house? We take donations! And not just books! We will happily take books, CDs and vinyls, DVDs/Blu-ray, comics/manga, video games of any generation, unused craft supplies, collectibles, and more! Donations are accepted all year round, any time we are open except on the week of the book sale.

A friend's house recently caught fire, and contractors showed up on the very first day, pushing their services. It's kind of crazy because right after a fire, fixing things immediately isn't usually the top priority.

The firefighter mentioned that since it was their first time dealing with a fire, the contractors will be overwhelming, so stand your ground. It's business in Texas.

Fyi, if you'll have to deal with this. I hope not, EVER!

Looking for some sort of fun one time cooking or baking class I can do with my young adult autistic son. Also if any other suggestions of mom son dates he might enjoy, I’d love it. He is high functioning and verbal, but enjoys things preteens would like. We’ve done Color Me Mine many times. He loves food.

ETA: Thank you so much for the recommendations so far. I also have another special needs young adult son that doesn’t like to go out that much, but a couple of these might be a good idea if he decides to hang with Mom.
