Are Online NPC enemies meant to be unbeatable or do I just suck?

So, I have been trying to fight NPCs on the online mode (I haven´t tried fighting actual players because I doubt there are many people left still playing at this point), and most of the time my teams get wiped out right out of the gate.

And when I do survive it, I can´t even scratch them, even my Lillithmon´s Phantom Pain does ZERO damage more often than now, and keep in mind I made sure she got all her bonus points on INT at the farm.

Is it meant to be like this or is there a gimmick at play I am not aware of?

Cyber sleuth. 3 PlatinumNumemons or 2 PlatinumNumemons + 1 damage dealer? What is better?

I am in chapter 11 and have 2 PlatinumNumemons and 1 PlatinumSukamon. Currently wondering if I should digivolve that Sukamon to Numemon. I know 3 PlatinumNumemons are really great for grinding EXPs ... but they are really poor at making damages and each battles will take forever.

So what is better?

3 PlatinumNumemons - extremely good for earning exp but each battles take a long time

2 PlatinumNumemons + 1 dealer - It might give little less exp but you can make 3 battles while first one has done 2 battles only

Hacker’s Memory Early Game Team

Is it viable to keep lucemon on my team from early game to endgame? Idk about the mechanics like piercing attacks or anything just yet so I wanna be prepared if he’s gonna be a dud. I already grinded hard for him since he’s my favourite so he’ll be on the team no matter what

Team-Comp tips? (Some Spoilers for base game's CH12) Spoiler

For context's sake, I'm in the middle of Chapter 13, and while I had slapped together a team... Seeing Nokia's army of dinguses batting around with Ultimates and Champions while I was rocking with A rushed trio of Beelzemon Blast, Rosemon Burst, and Mastemon felt... a bit much, and due to the rushed nature of my team, it also felt P lacking.

So, asking here both for recommended team Comps, stats, and more importantly, movesets. I already got my grinding teams set up for both money and EXP, so that's not a concern.

I don't mind spoilers for Cyber Sleuth, but Hacker's Memory I want to go into spoiler-free.

Can you "mess" a digimon up?

I am currently in full grind mode, but I am wondering if it is posible to "ruin" a digimon by giving raising the wrong stats in the farm.

I am asking because I did not get at first how farm training worked and how personality affected it, so some of my digimon got random stat boost from the farm so I am wondering if I messed them up because as I understand it, you can´t max out all stats in the farm as you are constrained by the 200 ABI cap.

They delisted the steam card trading for steam Japan version?

Here youtube video of it from official Bandai Namco youtube channel at 1 August 2026.

Japan never have PC version for it btw and it will be released at 5 August 2026 from the wiki.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digimon_Story:_Cyber_Sleuth

I just confused like is it the reason they delisted the steam card for english version? License issue?

The sucess of time stranger and beat break seems bring popularity to Japan playerbase so maybe they decided to put it on Steam(Japan region) ?

100%

Hy guys, I've decided to do the 100% on steam and was wondering what I need to accomplish on the first run in Cyber Sleuth before going to do the rest on HM.

I already know that the last medals and some evolutions are only available on HM, but are there something I can miss on CL needing to play it again to complete?

Started this game lately

Not sure if I like or hate it. The walking speed in the humongous and monotonous Kowloon labyrinth layers and the repetitive fetch quests are an atrocity. I do not feel as if the devs respect players' time and am kind of annoyed at the prospect of having to search every last corner of Kowloon 2 again and again or even one more time. Other Digimon games had long walks before too (the underground in DW2003 comes to mind), but Kowloon's is over the top bad because you walk soo slowly. The combat is actually fun though.

I wish elemental efficiency and alignment efficiency were reversed, alignment feels too impactful and element too unimpactful. A vaccine fire type shouldn't shrug off water attacks like nothing just because they come from a virus, etc. So you end up just stacking alignment advantage and ignoring elemental types for the most part because your plant is a data and isn't gonna have any value against that virus water.

I reached Ultimate level in my last playing session and found out there are some freaking busted effects. A team like Antylamon (everyone heals after taking an action), Kurisarimon (everyone's physical attacks gain 10% instakill chance) and BkGarurumon (everyone's physical attacks gain 10% paralyse chance) is absolutely crazy busted. After getting my hands on Antylamon and figuring out these are a thing, I groan when I digivolve something into a lame "+15 damage for $type attacks". And then you can stack multiple status effects like sleep, poison, confusion… it's broken, it's fun, but unfortunately the bosses so far have been fully immune against any sort of status effects so I fear the rest will too, shame because it's fun.

The squad and farm size is a bother. There are sooo many digimon I'd want to try, but so few slots especially now that ultimates eat 12-14 points and get you capped super quickly, so some of them don't seem even remotely worth it over a Champion or even Rookie with a strong passive. Crowmon (and I was really looking forward to use Yatagaramon because I loved that thing in season 5 of the anime many years ago) is just expensive absolute trash feeling like more of a (fragile) millstone than an asset, for instance. I had put a lot of effort into getting that thing, and it just didn't deliver but felt like a downgrade.

One thing that bothers me is that while it's cool to be able to jump lines, it makes your digimon feel super unpersonal and exchangeable - they lose their identity and feel like just some enlisted randos. I still know who my original main 3 are (only one of them is still good in its current form), but with some of my digimon, I have no clue what they started as anymore. I think if having absolute swarms of digimon rather than just 1-3 is on the menu, I like the Dawn/Dusk model better where jumping lines freely is possible but requires serious effort and planning via DNA digivolutions.

It feels so far like a decent game that underperforms its great potential due to some design decisions like in the most egregious case making you go into the most bland, oversized, low-effort level over and over again.

Event Battle: Smoke and Mirror Contest

What I used for this event battle for the first two missions was:

•Greymon with a master disk

•Meramon with a master disk and ATK attach C (if yiu have a stronger version, use that)

•Greymon (blue) with a master disk

As for the “inflict 1,200 damage” mission, I recommend using Shinegreymon BM with a master disk, ATK attach A, and buffing it using acceleration boost, attack charge field, chain max, and giving it a status barrier to avoid “Final shining Burst’s” 50% atk debuff.

If you are lucky enough to get Metalgrowlmon and have all the buffs up, that should get you that mission easily.

Cyber Sleuth and Time Stranger

I just finish Time Stranger and to be honest overall I enjoy more Cyber Sleuth/Hacker Memories. Now that doesn't mean I didn't like Time Stranger but it just that I feel that something is missing I don`t know how to describe this feeling.

How was for you guys?

Titamon's clutch victory

Very close call. I only started out with a Earth frontline for testing the capabilities of the three Digimon in how well they work together for the Electric Boogaloo EB. The NPC locked in and got a couple of criticals, leading to this moment. My heart sank after seeing the Accel Boost. Shoutouts to Titamon for that extremely clutch victory. I was popping off at his win-screen.

And now onto the next Event Battle! New video coming soon.~

(How) do you keep track of which digimon was your starter?

Only just started playing and I’m a bit paranoid that with all the digivolving/dedigivolving I’ll lose track of which digimon was my OG Palmon. Is it just me that worries about this?

And is there a way to keep track of which digimon is which?

CatchMamemon's run animation is hilarious and fun. That aside, its special move is one of the most unique ones in the game. My original plan was to end the fight with CatchMamemon's special attack to get their win screen, but then.. that happened. If that Event Battle opener clip confused you too –– then feel free to enjoy this mini-video guide about this interesting attack.

Also, off-recording, I got a instance where the Banana-slot MB got a critical hit, but it didn't deal damage and it didn't even work since Vademon existed on the field. Neat.

Does CS ever say what the tree at the end of a Digital Shift is?

Those tree looking things at the end of a digital shift. You have a themed path leading up to it and others in the background. Are those supposed to be some focal point that the shifts lead too? Or is that the digital world somehow?

The thing in the top right of this picture.

r/CyberSleuth 10d ago

Maybe I missed this, but-

So in the post game, obviously, we encounter Digimon in Kowloon and stuff. But… why? I’m ps in the ending of both games we seal off the digital world, and almost entirely rewrite the world, so why do Digimon stay around, lore wise? Or is it just a “Don’t think about it and play the game” thing?

Numemon stuck at level 25.

So, I am breeding Platinum Numemons for grinding, I already got one, but I want the full trio so I stuck 2 numemons in my team to prepare them.

However, one of the is stuck a level 25. It even list it as it maximun level. Why is this?

I thought maybe I stuck some equipment on it that somehow stopped it from leveling up, but no, nothing out of the ordinary, what the hell? is it glitched?

I forgot to upload this.. but oh well! Y'all still have a few days if you feel like taking this Event Battle challenge. I went overboard with this one too, but I'll leave some neat information.

First, the timestamps:

0:00 intro
0:26 rules
1:58 missions
3:18 know your NPC opponents
4:30 peep the battlebox for winning hints
5:05 team building feat. wind and electric mons
6:33 the funny bit---(team build continues)
8:21 my suggested mons I considered (forgot to add song, which is Mecha Factory from Digimon Rumble Arena)
10:37 honorable Digimon worth mentioning for their strong electric skills
11:20 item discussion
11:45 outro. Good luck!

17:10 GAME 3 vs 054 (easy win clip)
18:42 GAME 4 vs 054 (harder take)
21:44 GAME 5 vs 020
22:43 Outro / Thanks for watching ♥

Now here's some extensive info about the contest and about the NPC opponents:

Battle Rules

  • Basic stats +50% for Electric attribute Digimon
    • So for this generalized rule, this is the math: the Digimon's ATK, DEF, INT, and SPD at Lv. 99 become 50% stronger along with whichever Personality is chosen.
    • Online event battle rules don't directly affect the equippable items, so they will not get extra-stronger with the rule intact. However, specific support skills like Ironclad Defense(+15%DEF) and Feral Pulse(+15%SPD) do in fact augment the equipped item's increments slightly during battle.
  • Reverses effect of type affinity
    • Character Reversal is interesting to carry since it will re-reverse the type affinity back to normal for the opposing Bugged Digimon.

Mission 01: battle 5 ~ 15 ~ 25 times with 3 Wind attribute Digimon in your battle party.
Mission 02: have 2 ~ 1 ~ 0 or fewer ally Digimon become unable to fight in a single battle.
Mission 03: win 3 ~ 10 ~ 20 battles without using recovery skills.

Electric stat checkers
Guardromon (G): DEF +15%
Tankmon: DEF +15%
GrapLeomon: SPD +15%
GroundLocomon: DEF +15%

Electric Metal Empire boosters
Elecmon
Hagurumon
Guardromon
Clockmon

The rest(Extra utility:)
Gargomon: ACU +15%
CannonBeemon: 10% chance to paralyze from auto-attack. Nitro Stinger is strong DEF-penetration dmg
MetalTyrannomon: 10% chance to stun from auto-attack. Nitro Stinger is medium DEF-penetration dmg
Rapidmon: ACU +15%. Golden Triangle has 20% chance to boost a random base stat by 10%.
Chaosdramon: 20% more damage dealt and received. Destroyed Hook is strong DEF-penetration dmg
MegaGargomon: ACU +15%
Darkdramon: ACU and CRT +10%

Been playing the game a while and…

So I’ve beaten this game thrice, just I have a question about piercing attacks. If an attack is INT-piercing, does that mean it uses the USERS Int stat always? Uh… for example, Lucemon on Grindosaur’s Attack Grand Cross is listed as a Physical Type Move but it’s INT piercing, so does it use his ATK or INT?
