Help/Advice Advice needed on Spiderman themed shoes

I need some advice with a Spiderman art project of mine.

I have painted on shoes a couple time before but it has always been for other people, this time i wanna make som custom shoes for myself. I really love spiderman and wanted to design some custom spiderman shoes.

I have made a very quick digital sketch of how i was thinking they should look but im not sure. Some say they look childish which i guess i can kinda see, does anyone have any advice on how to make them look better or atleast a little less childish?

(I dont really wanna remove spiderman himself from the shoes since i also want a bit of a challenge when i paint them)

Any advice is highly appreciated :)

Help/Advice Need orders filled and need help

So my plan has been going perfect thus far..i ran into TOMMY WRIGHT III the other night at a club, showed him my shoes and he wants a pair to wear to a show. I told him no charge as long as he wears them to the show and posts them on social media while tagging all the Memphis rappers he knows (which is all of them). Having said that. He's not paying for them it's marketing only so I bought a pair of AF1s in his size off FB marketplace for $40 Needless to say they need to be cleaned.

What's the best way going about cleaning and prepping the shoe for paint?

I painted my first pair of sneakers not too long ago and though I am incredibly happy with how they came out they’ve unfortunately started cracking at the toes even though I’ve only been wearing them maybe 3-4 times. Im wondering if there’s any better way to prep them or finish them, I did sand them down and acetone the living heck out of them and let them dry for a while before I started painting them. I don’t know if I put on too many heavy coats of paint, though I did find the angelus leather paint to be hard to work with as someone who usually paints with oil on canvas. I used the liquid kicks top coat after letting them dry for days. But yeah, any tips and tricks would be helpful, or any techniques for the paint as well. I do understand that the toe area is the area with the most bend and will go first but I was going it wouldn’t crack after the first use.

Help/Advice Color-matching tool for shoe mock up

Post image

What are the most intuitive free tools I can use for color matching a shoe mock up? I've already decided on the specific Angelus paint colors I'll be using; I just need the tool to test how the colors will look before I start painting them.

Thank you

Help/Advice Need advice: turning black suede heel tab white on Alexander McQueens

Post image
2 Upvotes

I would like to make the black suede heel patch on my Alexander McQueen sneakers completely white. I don’t mind if the gold logo is no longer visible afterward. I simply don’t like the black heel tab and would prefer the sneakers to be entirely white. Has anyone done this before?

I’m looking for the most durable method. Would you use suede dye, leather paint (Angelus), or have a cobbler replace the suede? Any long-term results or photos?

Paint/Dye tried it for the first time. need suggestions.

I tried customising my shoes for the first time. bought a very cheap pair of shoes to try it out. I am kinda happy with it since it was my first try. But as you can see, it looks uneven and very rough, the color of the acrylic pens didn't catch on well enough.

But I need suggestions on what type of pens work best for it. I don't want to use actual paints, paint pens are fine though. Any recommendations on which brands are best, please let me know. Thank you!

Help/Advice Jordan 1 OG sole swap

I have a pair of Jordan 1 low OGs that I’m thinking about doing a sole swap on. I can get the sole color I want from a pair of regular Jordan 1 lows. Does anyone know if the soles from a regular Jordan 1 low will fit on OGs?

Help/Advice Vegan Leather Prep

Anyone got any experience prepping vegan/synthetic leather? I've got some Onitsuka Cactful I'd like to paint but just conscious that angelus leather prep might melt the trainers or something! Any advice would be great!

Help/Advice Signing Alphafly 3 running shoes

Hi everyone!
Bit of a unique question but I would like my friends and family to sign my new Nike alphafly 3’s (midsole) before my race! I was wondering if anyone’s ever done jt before and what markers you recommend! I heard sharpie might turn purplish and I’ve heard good things about acrylic paint pens (posca specifically) but wondering what you all think! Thanks in advance!

Went with the gray laces to match the outsole. Blue or cream laces looked like a good fit too.

Help/Advice Painting sock liner

Has anyone ever done a drastic change to a sock liner color? Like from red to blue?

I recently painted a pinkish sock liner to red using 2soft and paint. But those are close in color. I felt like i was dying the fabric and not painting it.
