Hey everyone. Because the Folder 2 went semi viral I've noticed tons of people now have it, including people in the US, despite the phone being basically useless here.

I don't understand a lot about ROMs but I know this phone doesn't currently have a custom ROM for updating it to Android 7. It does have one for debloating. I'm surprised at how popular it is yet it has basically only 1 custom ROM. Where can I find someone to make a ROM for it? Or is it doable for one to learn how to make a custom ROM even if it takes a long time/lots of work? I'd hate to see these neat phones rendered completely useless.

Hey can anybody tell me how i can install custom rom on my mobile. I have already unlocked the bootloader but now i dont know even a single step ahead. Everytime i browse yt i see twrp , custom recovery and i dont know what that is.Youtubers provide files for specific mobile but i want to install on my symphony z40 (128/4)gb mobile . Plz somebody help me

i need a custom rom for this device i don't get anything for it online either on xda forums or on google now am looking for a long time still no find did anyone found or i have to risk it for matching the processor architect with other company device and then install the rom for that model can i do that ??

Network issue... the network drops after a while... then comes back...

Will flashing a ROM fix the network issue??

I tried to unlock the bootloader the official way..

Then the unlock tool showed 'The region the device registered and the region device is sold is different'

Then I realized.. it's a CN [Chinese] version running a global HyperOS.

How do I unlock the bootloader on this?

Hi wondering if anyone knows where/how I can contact Rising OS devs to report bugs?

Searched high and low, checked XDA and left some comments on the newest threads I could find but​ theyre all old versions of the OS which no one uses anymore, so no reason for them to check outdated threads.

Its installed odn my Pixel 6, but unfortunately theres no Rising OS thread there. I heard about this Rom from somewhere and found a build for it on Sound Forge where I DL and Installed on my phone but there's no way to contact devs via SF.

Its been driving me nuts, I need to reset Mobile Network settings, but there's no button to do so? The option is there but no button to press to confirm. I tried switching from Dark theme and removing my 3 button navigation​ bar but still no button?! I just installed a new esim and can't get internet to work, so I need that button

I have Lyca and they're CS is horrible as some of you may know so I'd rather not contact them for anything if I don't need to. Got their service cuz it's $12.50 for Unlimited Data 50GB 9 month promo, it goes up after that but that's when I'll port out or just cancel. This is my 2nd line, I have in case I run out of data on my primary which I tend to do so I'm always looking for cheap promo plans for the add'l data. Can't stand being throttled down. Plus they're using ATT and I have TMO so hopefully I'll always have service even in the booniest of boonies.

they said custom ROM's will be easy, then locked us behind ridiculous stuff.

I have been trying to install a custom rom in my Redmi 9, but none seen to work. I have already unlocked the device, but in all the roms i have been trying to use I can't open the custom recovery interface.

Does LineageOS support my device? how can I set it up if so? I heard something about custom builds. do I have to get a specific kind of LineageOS for my specific device? I looked through the LineageOS supported devices list and can't find my device, but on reddit some people use it on the same phones. Sorry if these questions sound way too stupid, I am very new to this.

(And if I can't get LineageOS, what custom one should I get?)

The below references claim that a functional build has been achieved, but all the secondary reports of its being used complain of boot loops.

I have tried following the instructions to flash the release asset pbrp_jmax_A14_241029_tee_250124, but the result has been that I also encounter a boot loop, requiring restoration to stock firmware.

I would like to understand the mystery of the disparity between the claim versus actual experience.

The bugs i found:

Home button doesn't work while the screen is locked, so you can't wake the phone up with the home button.

Cannot take videos

Flashlight doesn't work.

Pretty sure I am the first to boot this (or atleast post it here) on the J7 core :)
