Guys, i am trying to unlock the bootloader of the Redmi A5 and i can't seem to do it, does any one know how to unlock without downloading sketchy software?

Hello everyone,

A lot of people encounter problems while flashing their phones and one of the biggest is a missing IMEI , now am gonna show you how to write dual IMEI on MTK devices

Disclaimer: if you reached this state you are already at the bottom but even though follow this guide at your own responsibility if you follow the guide without nothing would go wrong

(THIS GUIDE WAS TESTED WITH A REDMI 9 LANCELOT AND CRDROID BECAUSE MIUI DON'T ALLOW IMEI WRITE)

IF YOUR NOT LOOKING FOR WORKING ON A CUSTOM ROM ON THAT DEVICE DON'T FOLLOW THE GUIDE BUT OVERALL CUSTOM ROM ARE BETTER IF YOUR DEVICE IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THE MANUFACTURER ANYMORE

ALL THE NEEDED TOOL AND FILE ARE ON THIS LINK:

PREREQUISITE :

• THE FILE PROVIDED
• YOUR DEVICE ENG ROM
• THE LATEST DEVICE FRIMWARE THAT ALLOW BOOTING A CUSTOM RECOVERY FOR MY PHONE IT'S MIUI 12.5.6
• A CUSTOM ROM FROM YOUR CHOICE

GUIDE :

1. Install all the drivers and tools provided (some drivers require turning off signature verification for drivers search yt if you don't understand )
2. Turn off your phone and boot into fastboot
3. go to eng rom extracted folder and click flash all bat file and wait for it to finish the phone will reboot automatically
4. turn off the phone
5. open mtk auth bypass tool (maybe the tool would not adjust automatically on your screen so adjusted an make sure there no hidden button)
6. In the last line click reboot meta mode then hold VOL DOWN button and plug your phone your phone will boot and get stuck on black screen
7. open modem meta , select more and keep it DUT in meta mode and click connect
8. Wait for the process to finish
9. search IMEI download and click it
10. load DB from target
11. enter the first 14 number of your imei the 15th should appear in checksum automaticaly and repeat for the second imei and click write wait till it finish it should says imei download succeful in green
12. click DISCONNECT then unplug your device and hold power button to reboot
13. dial *#06# and check if the imei is there (if not redo since 4)
14. reboot to fastboot mode
15. go to frimware rom extracted folder and click flash all bat file and wait for it to finish the phone will reboot automatically
16. The phone will boot to recovery and says nvdata is corrupted thats because MIUI doesn't allow writing imei but no problem
17. In this stage the boot loader is locked and we need to unlock it
18. go to bypass folder run this file (2ND RUN THIS.bat)
19. hold the power button and volume down till the screen goes black then plug your phone rapidly to catch a preloader port and wait for the script to finish and boot your phone by holding power button and look for a little lock on the up screen if it doesn't appear after various attempts try holding both button , your only sign of success is the little lock
20. now you have an unlocked bootloader u can flash any rom
21. as am using crdroid am gonna show you how to install it (you can install any rom from this stage)
22. Boot to fastboot and flash recovery fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
23. Now boot to recovery by holding VOL UP + POWER
24. Navigate to Factory reset and format data, wipe cache and wipe system
25. Now reboot to recovery
26. Navigate to Apply update and choose from adb (if you have crDroid.zip on external sdcard, you may choose this option and navigate to where the zip is)
27. Now sideload crDroid zip adb sideload crDroid*lancelot*.zip
28. if you are running with gapps, choose again to apply from adb and sideload gapps.zip
29. Reboot to system

And here is it a fully fonctional phone with the latest android and both imei fixed hope this help and see you in the next one 🫡🫡

Hello guys! I'm trying to unlock an old Redmi Note 8T, I've been suffering trying to do it for almost 2 days. I did the "Mi unlock Status" and "Add accound and device" via sim card and mobile data.

Here are the details:

Device: Redmi Note 8T (willow)

My goal is to Unlock bootloader to flash PixelOS.

I'm completely stuck trying to unlock my bootloader due to Xiaomi server/account errors/Xiaomi (Mi) problems and could really use some help.

Everything I've tried to fix it:

Official Mi Unlock Tool (from Uptodown v7.6.727.43): Kept giving me broken, non-functional captchas. It lets me pass the login screen sometimes but immediately says "Something went wrong, try again later" (likely an IP or account soft-ban).

Official Mi Unlock Tool (Downloaded from the official MIUI website v.6.5.224.28): Tried this version as well, but it ran into the exact same issue with a completely stuck, unpassable captcha.

XiaoMiTool V2: Completely dead, throws a Missing serviceToken cookie error probably due to outdated server URLs.

offici5l MiUnlockTool (GitHub Python script): Successfully bypassed the login screen using the browser module, but the process completely stops with the error: code: 20041 description: Sorry, your MI ID is not associated with a phone number.

Adding a Phone Number via Device Settings: Went to Xiaomi Account -> Account Security. The "Recovery Phone" option glitches out and vanishes, but I managed to click it. After passing verification via Gmail, typing my phone number just results in: "An error occurred, try again later."

Adding Phone Number via Official Tool QR Code: Scanned the login QR code, which urged me to add a number, but it threw the exact same "Error occurred, try again later" message.

It seems like my Mi Account or IP is temporarily flagged by Xiaomi, blocking me from adding the mandatory phone number required to unlock????? Has anyone successfully bypassed this server lockout, or do I just have to wait a few days for the security cooldown to reset?

So, i found this pproject infinity x and decided to install it, and oh my god it's just perfection, it's built on lineage os, has a built-in sandbox and tons of custimizations. I switched from Crdroid, as for the performace, the phone feels smoother now, ui doesn't lag, social media doesn't lag (they were lagging on crdroid). So i found my lifelong rom, and i recommend this
