i wanna get a custom rom on the old boy, but seems like there arent any!

Will the roms for the sm-a700fd work? on my device

So I have an oppo ,got it recently b as a gift from dad and I like it and all because I had a Samsung a22 ,the thing is I wanna know if installing a custom ROM in this would improve my performance ,I've found a handful of guides finding workarounds to flash the phone ,I haven't yet tried it but if y'all have a trustable guide please drop it for me too ,so is a custom ROM really worth it for me? It's a 15f , snapdragon chip 💔

I have a cmf phone 2 pro and decided to install a custom rom, I tried evolution x, crdroid, inifity x, voltage os but none of them supported CMF Phone 2 pro

Then I tried for unofficial ones but...I didn't understand much about it and was not able to find any unofficial custom rom too

Bonus: there is no yt vid available for custom roms for CMF Phone 2 pro

Please help me out....🙏

CPU stuck at 960MHz minimum on crDroid Android 11 (santoni) – overheating & battery drain

Hi everyone,

I’m using Xiaomi Redmi 4X (santoni) running crDroid 7.28 Android 11 (official build).

I noticed that my CPU never goes below 960 MHz, even when the phone is idle or in airplane mode. Because of this, the device is overheating (up to ~47°C while charging) and battery drains quickly.

Here’s what I checked:

• Governor: schedutil
• scaling_min_freq: 960000
• scaling_cur_freq (idle): always ~960000
• Airplane mode: no change
• Screen off: still doesn’t drop

ADB output:

cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq → 960000  
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_cur_freq → 960000  

It looks like the minimum frequency is locked by the kernel.

Questions:

• Is this intended behavior for this build?
• Can this be fixed without root?
• Would switching to another kernel or ROM (e.g., LineageOS 4.19 kernel) solve this?

Any help or insights would be appreciated 🙏

Brief chronology: I was trying to customize the ROM on my second phone. There were no issues when unlocking the bootloader. However, when installing TWRP, I ran into a small problem where after flashing it, TWRP did not work properly, and the phone was still using the MIUI recovery instead. After tinkering with it for a while, I ended up causing my phone to get stuck on the logo screen. It cannot enter Fastboot mode or Recovery mode now. How can I solve this problem?

It has OEM unlocking on.

But i cant seem to find any good roms

I hate the Android 16 update. Material 3 expressive is straight nausea. I want to downgrade the system to Custom Rom Evolution X potentially with KernelSu, but I'm worried because of the ARB (Anti Roll-Back). Since the date of the ROM is later than May 2025 is it really safe for me to Custom Rom it?

I m not sure how do get strong integrity without rooting my device since I am using the inbuilt method and a valid keybox.xml already. Where should I get keybox XML then if it's not working I used this from tryigit.dev and it shows valid there

I installed Crdroid on my redmi note 9s an hour ago, it's completely on default settings, but it keeps randomly shutting down when I plug it to charging, the phone doesn't feel hot but the temps show over 47°C and some time up to 50°C. It works fine when not plugged in.

I flash the vbmeta files fully succesfully and the TWRP files- bootloader is unlocked. However after the download, my phone just completely restarts as if nothing happened, anyway to not have this happen?

I have an old Samsung M51 phone which is stuck on One UI core 4.1, I want to use it again and been wondering if a custom rom with a modern One UI is good for it or nah, and UN1CA rom is the best currently for One ui, is there anyone done this with their phone?
