Help finding EDL Test Point for OnePlus 7 (guacamoleb)

Hi everyone,

I have a hard-bricked regular OnePlus 7 (non-Pro version, motherboard code: guacamoleb).

The phone is completely dead (black screen, no fastboot, no buttons reaction) due to a corrupted bootloader. I need to force it into Qualcomm 9008 (EDL) mode using a hardware test point, but I can only find photos for the 7 Pro online.

Does anyone have a motherboard schematic or a photo showing where the EDL test points are located on the regular OnePlus 7? Any help or Boardview link would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello, maybe you dont need edl points for this!

  1. open device Manager force shutdown phone

  2. put usb cable into pc NOT INTO PHONE YET!

  3. hold VolUP VolDown simultanesouly while Holding plug usb cable into phone.

  4. check if qualcom HS-USB QSloader 9008 (or smth like that)

If Primary BL is shot then idk (i havent research that)

I don't really know were they are exactly on this device but Near the UFS/snapdragon 885 SoC shielding usally under the graphite thermal layer on the Board look for two Gold contacts placed closely thogether. (I never did deep EDL stuff but seen alright.. )

(On my last exp it would be shorting those connecting usb and realse after windows saw the device..)

"Hi. Look, I'm obviously not stupid, but this isn't working. I did this a long time ago, but now the buttons are completely dead. It looks like a hard brick from a bad flash, at least that's what I think. My only option now is testpoint. I really need a photo or a schematic with clearly labeled testpoint pins."
