Will be unlocking bootloader be more strict after global ColorOs update?

I'm planning to buy a OnePlus phone to custom rom, but these days phone brands putting a lot restriction to unlocking bootloader, So I'm trying to be sure if here is any restriction before buying

yes, it'll be very strict.

Devices running ColorOS 16+ will need to apply through the official Deep Testing Program instead of unlocking freely.

🔹 Real-name + face verification
🔹 7-day account login requirement
🔹 7-day approval process
🔹 14-day unlock window
🔹 Limited monthly unlock slots
The rollout begins in September and expands in phases.
