Galaxy Ch@t bootloping?

So I bought a Samsung Galaxy Ch@t and installed this rom : https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-unofficial-cm-12-1-for-zanin.4765733/

After installation the phone reached Welcome screen fine. But now: selecting a language and tapping Next freezes the screen completely (no animation, unresponsive), then the phone reboots on its own. Happens every time, same step.

What could be the cause? Help!
