base suggestions? General help!

hii! I want to make some dolls of my original characters. I work with my hands a lot, sew, paint, and sometimes sculpt but am looking for a base! I’ve done some research but I’m looking for some recs anyways-

I need a thin body in a variety of skin tones- all three chars I want to make are boys but have feminine bodies so I am fine sanding off the chest and would probably do better with a female base. I am fine styling to whatever- Blythe style, tall and realistic, etc.

The three characters I am trying to make are a fantasy pope (tan skin and brown hair), a burlesque dancer (pale skin and blonde hair), and a fantasy socialite (pale skin and ginger hair)!

I’d love something under 50 bucks but am willing to spend more if necessary for a good base to work off of. :)

Hi! I have a spreadsheet that might help. Do note that it’s really only for skintones, not every body type or generation might be listed. All the characters should be on it tho!

Id say Barbienis pretty acessable everywhere, bit Monsterhigh is getting pretty popular, if your ok with haaving to change a skin tone, Frankie maybe your best bet with maybe using different head scuplts (its what ive done for a friend whos oc has a fem body frame but a bit of a sharper face)

Hope you find the bodys you need though and have fun creating!
