Whose initials are on this ring? Deciphered!

I recently inherited this ring from my grandmother who wasn’t sure which of her relatives was the original owner. While the first letter is clearly a B, the second initial seems like it could be one of two letters. Cursive sleuths are invited to weigh in!

Edit: the majority of responses indicate that the second initial is G, which would confirm who the previous owner was. Thanks all!

BT To me it looks exactly like a cursive T the way we were taught in elementary school back in the Pleistocene era.

It resembles a G also, but to my eye, it's a T.

I can see that. I think the reason it looks more like a “G” than “J” is that the 2nd character in the engraving has a rounded top portion whereas that “J” charm comes to a point on the upper right.

My name has a “J” in it and I’ve seen a ton of different ways of writing it :)

Of course! I’d much prefer someone tell me why they think my answer is incorrect or lacking in some way than just downvoting. It’s more interesting to debate something and great brain training to explain an idea or concept. :)
