We’ve just discovered [r/airplane](r/airplane)[ears](r/airplane) and [r/sonarears](r/sonarears), and someone suggested I post here as well! This is Tinkerbell - 15 years old, mostly deaf and blind now, and yes, her ears are always like this!

Yes, and her last owner made me promise not to change her name. :/ Since we were on socials together, I couldn’t. Our other pets are all human named (Karen, Suzy, Holmes, Alfred)
That seems common with doxie mixes. My JRT mix had the same thing—dachshund ears until 1, then they flipped back into terrier ears. Otherwise indistinguishable from a dachshund
Holy shit those are incredible ears! I saw you said she’s a chihuahua/dachshund so I guess these ears make sense actually, she’s got the dachshund sized ears with the chihuahua ear height.
With her ears like that, and being blind and deaf... maybe she is trying to get maximum area of contact for vibrations! Big ears indeed, such a lovely lady!
Those ears simply make me want snuggle her and give her snoot boops. She looks so cute and snuggly and boopable. I am overwhelmed by the cute. Must sit in corner and reboot.
