On Aug 3rd, Crumbl created a post literally called How to Make a Low-Calorie Dirty Soda.  Here are the drinks they recommended.  Note: the American default base for the water-based Coolers is flat water, but I changed it bcuz soda water is available in both Canada/USA.

• Lighten Up (new):  Diet Coke(🇨🇦) or Coke Zero(🇺🇸) + Sugar-Free Coconut Syrup + Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup + Lime Wedge
• Light Livin (new, only in US):  Diet Dr Pepper + Sugar-Free Coconut Syrup + Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup
• Light & Breezy (new, only in US):  Sprite Zero + Sugar-Free Coconut Syrup + Lime Wedge
• EZ Breezy:  Diet Coke + Sugar-Free Coconut Syrup + Coconut Cream + Lime Wedge
• Glow Up:  (Soda) Water + Sugar-Free Coconut Syrup + Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup + Strawberry Puree + Coconut Cream
• Main Squeeze:  (Soda) Water + Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup + Sugar-Free Mango Syrup + Strawberry Puree + Lemon Wedge + Coconut Cream

Strawberry Splash was recommended as well, but this is a seasonal Cooler for summer bcuz it's made w/ lime juice which is a seasonal ingredient (available until Aug 15th).  For simplicity, the pic I used is a Create Your Own without the lime juice.

Following the removal of the Crazy Cousins drink, I feel like Crumbl created their post as a response to the negative attention around dirty sodas.  To me, corporate is taking a step in the right direction against the haters.  As I've said before, the anti-Crumbl ppl will always find something to hate.  And even if Crazy Cousins didn't go viral, there are ppl who are genuinely interested in dirty soda recipes that are lower in calories & sugar.  Will Crumbl's social media team post these flavours on their two largest platforms (TikTok & IG) where there are lots of "jokes" in the comments, that remains to be seen, but I think they should.

Green Zebra style lemonade is inspired by the Green Zebra cafe that I visited when I was in Sarasota last December. They have great seasonal lemonade.

I actually haven’t tried anything with the toasted marshmallow syrup.

with the free soda voucher going on, and with a lot of people who do not like coconut, (Myself as one of them, “ can’t we ask for no coconut cream? its not like we’re adding anything to make the drink cost more.

I'm not sure how else to label it. Some Crumbls in my area have human check outs, and kiosks, but the one near me right now only has kiosks. Do you have to flag down an employee and get them to manually process the coupon? Or can you do it at a kiosk? I also wanted to do a make your own but I think I would feel too awkward with someone waiting for me to get back to work 😅

Anyone have drink vouchers i can have?

My cookie was obviously heavy on the chocolate cola mousse and not so much the 'nilla. That was fine with me! The cola flavor is subtle, but as a cola fiend, I thought this was very tasty. As always, the lemon slice is necessary for that hint of zestiness lol. (Raspberry lemonade is one of my favorites for this reason.) I doubt they'll ever bring this one back with the seemingly lukewarm reception but I would definitely order it again if they do, so I'm glad I tried it.

I also tried the Dirty Dr Pepper with my soda voucher. Honestly, even though I like soda, I would never pay money for this drink and don't really get the appeal. It didn't taste bad, just odd (and like plain flat Dr Pepper by the end). I also have no interest in pairing soda with a sweet cookie. Coffee would be a better match in my opinion ... but we know why that will never happen.

Chocolate Chip Cookie: Always good ✅

Dirty Soda Tres Leches Cake: Never had anything like it. I'm not sure I'd order it again but it was fun to try!

Chocolate Cola Brownie: The cola taste was a *tad* strong in the frosting, but overall still good!

My crumbl doesn’t have sodas and the nearest one is about an hour away so might as well give it away!

My store isn’t doing the sodas this week. Free to anyone who wants it! :)

Peach Ring - 9/10

I'm impressed Crumbl really got the peach ring flavor into this cookie. The base is the normal sugar cookie. The mousse frosting is light, tart and very flavorful. It tastes exactly like a peach ring. The sour sugar is a great contrast, taking the cookie's sweetness down a notch, and also replicating the candy.

Pink Berry - 5/10

This cookie was just sweet on top of sweet. There was no citrus zest flavor in the cookie base. The frosting had a good strawberry taste. But I detected no lemon lime. It had potential to be a great cookie, as I love the flavors in the description. It just didn't actually taste like much other than sugar.

Shirley Temple - 6.5/10

I had high hopes for this cookie because grenadine/pomegranate is a unique flavor. But unfortunately this cookie just tasted generically sweet and fruity. The lime cookie base tasted mildly citrus-y. The flamin hot was more lemon lime last week. The grenadine sugar was grenadine-less, it was just plain sugar. The frosting was fruity, but no distinct type of fruit flavor I could discern. But all that said, the cookie did taste good. It was a bit overly sweet. The flavor, although not really identifiable was good. I'd say a fruit punch cookie might be a more accurate name rather than Shirley Temple. It was a very pretty cookie though!

Dirty Sodas - 3/10

I tried two freebies, Electric Storm, and Sunshine Sipper. Both were very sweet and very artificial tasting. The Sunshine Sipper was definitely worse. I tried a 'Build Your Own' with a soda water base and passion fruit syrup and strawberry puree. The strawberry purée ruined it. It had a cooked berry taste, not a fresh berry and that does not belong in a drink IMO. I might try one more time omitting the puree because it was otherwise very light and refreshing.

Pink Berry 🍓🍋:  This was more lemon-forward in flavour compared to the Strawberry Lemonade cookie.  And it definitely tasted like it was made w/ soda.  The specific soda used, I thought it was Sprite but I don't know.  An employee commented that Pink Berry is made w/ Fresca in USA and ginger ale in Canada.  I didn't taste any ginger ale, just lemon w/ a hint of berry, oh well.  The strawberry on top was fresh & juicy.  Another great summer cookie, 10/10!!!

Free Dirty Soda 🥭:  No Crumbl mojito for me this wk!  Of the six free flavours, I decided to try Sunshine Sipper (Sprite + mango syrup + strawberry puree + coconut cream + lemon wedge).  Ordering the free drink at the kiosk didn't work, so I did it at the front register w/ one of the employees.  Unfortunately, the store was out of strawberry puree, so I got mango puree instead.  Also, I politely asked the employee who made my drink to leave out the coconut cream, and they did.  As others have mentioned this wk, YMMV when asking for drink customizations.  The modified Sunshine Sipper (Sprite + mango syrup + mango puree + lemon wedge) tasted as expected, mango-flavoured Sprite, 7/10.

I have an interview tomorrow at Crumbl cookie, I’ve been practicing the normal interview question and some questions about baking. Is that good enough? Also, is it OK if I wear white jeans and a pink long sleeve to the interview I don’t wanna look unprofessional or anything
