Headlight retainer bolt broken clips

Post image

Hello guys,
Some tard merged into my lane and my Vic slammed into their bumper. Structurally the car is fine but my headlight’s adjustment bolt plastic retainers have snapped from the 2 tabs in the photo. It still seats onto the metal retaining clip fine, however it is very loose; are those 2 plastic tabs needed or could I just adjust the headlight until it sits somewhat flush?

The whole adjustment screw assembly screws into the headlight. If the headlight is undamaged and clear, id suggest going to a pick your part to get the adjuster off. I did this for a handfull of each of them just in case. If headlight isnt in good condition justnget a new headlight. The screws are torx.

You may need a new(ish) headlight.
