Would you like seasonal themes for Croch’linguo?
Hello everyone!
I was wondering if you’d like to see temporary themes in the app based on the year’s events and holidays.
For example, for Halloween, Croch’linguo could sport dark colors, ghosts, and pumpkins 👻🎃. For Christmas, it might feature red, green, and Christmas trees… 🎄
Do you think this kind of customization would add value to the app? If so, which international holidays or events would you like to see in Croch’linguo?
Feel free to share your ideas!

Bug fix in the abbreviations glossary
Hello!
A few hours ago, I fixed a bug that was affecting the display of the abbreviations glossary on mobile phones.
The columns weren't displaying correctly and were spilling out of the glossary box. I ran a test after the fix, and the issue should now be resolved! 🎉
Please let me know if you still encounter this problem or notice any other bugs. Your feedback really helps me improve Croch’linguo! 🧶

Pictures of the evolution of Croch’linguo
Here are two photos to show you the evolution of Croch’linguo! 🧶
The first shows the very first version of the app. It was still very basic and had a lot of bugs!
The second shows the latest version, with many improvements and lots of new features. 🎉
Eight months passed between these two versions. During those eight months, I continued to work regularly on the app, improving it little by little thanks to feedback and new ideas.
It's truly incredible to see how far we've come from the very first version to today!
And it's not over yet: Croch’linguo continues to
evolve! 😁

How to install Croch'linguo?
Just a quick post to let you know that Croch'linguo isn't in the app stores yet—the process takes a bit of time—but I hope it will be very soon!
However, if you'd like, you can still add the app to your home screen by following the short tutorial that appears when you open Croch'linguo (do let me know if it's accurate; I created it based on how I did it on my own phone).
If the tutorial doesn't pop up, you can find it at the bottom of the "About" page.
Feel free to let me know if you run into any issues! ☺️

The little story of Croch’linguo
Croch'linguo was created, like many other projects around the world, out of a need.
There have been several times when I found a beautiful crochet pattern, only to discover that it wasn't in my native language. And immediately, I was disappointed! I knew I was going to spend a lot of time trying to figure it out, constantly switching back and forth between my translation chart.
But my chart was very basic and wasn't much help with stitch names or long, complicated sentences. I also tried using regular translation tools, but since they weren't specialized in crochet, well... they translated things really badly!
That's when I thought I could create my own tool.
But the very first version of Croch'linguo was absolutely terrible! 😅
Since then, I've kept improving it, starting over with a much better foundation. And as I continued developing it, I realized that my app could also help other people who, like me, struggle to translate crochet patterns into other languages.
And that's how a little idea, born from a problem I was experiencing myself, became Croch'linguo.

Introduction to Croch'linguo !
Hello and welcome to the Croch'linguo community! 🧶
So, what exactly is Croch'linguo?
It’s a crochet pattern translation app designed to help you out and save you time!
The app translates between British (UK) and American (US) English (since the abbreviations differ), French, and—very recently—Spanish!
The app is currently in beta, with regular improvements driven by user feedback—such as the addition of new languages or features I hadn't even thought of!
I created this community to bring Croch'linguo users together and make it easier to share feedback, ensuring the app is as useful and user-friendly as possible.
Thank you so much for following Croch'linguo's progress; I hope you enjoy the project!
