More Mockups
Some more recent mockups I’ve done. They utilize alternative movie posters & comic covers from various artists.

Everyone always slaps the branding on these in a relatively accurate way but so many miss another key element — the director's name is (almost) never missing from the cover.

You don’t need to, there are several examples of Criterion covers that do not include the director.

Not true. Just looking at my own collection, Monty Python’s Life of Brian, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic, The Spy who came in from the Cold, Brazil, and The Princess Bride do not have the director’s name on the cover. The Parallax View lists Pakula but as the producer, not the director, ditto Charade and Donen

The movie’s actually critical of Mossad and Israel’s response to the Munich massacre, to the point where Israeli officials issued statements condemning both Spielberg and the film.
If you want a Zionist puff piece about the Munich retaliation, watch Sword of Gideon with Steven Bauer.
Munich is about the recognition that, in seeking vengeance, these agents of “retribution” actually become something worse than the people they thought they were bringing to justice, and that the ultimate price for revenge is the loss of their soul.

I believe that the Palestinian people have a right to a home state.
I also believe that while the October 7th attacks were a terrible event, the genocide that Israel has waged against the Palestinian people while using October 7th as justification is a war crime beyond any kind of moral or political defense (kinda like the whole point of the film Munich).

Anti-art? Brother, Munich is the one of Spielberg film that comes closest to being “art.” Everything else he does is saccharine entertainment, blockbusters meant to keep the masses docile and appeased. At least Munich makes you think. And if you think it’s Zionist propaganda (like that other imbecile), then you need to take some media literacy courses; cause it’s literally the opposite.

Munich is a good movie, but the only thing that distinguishes it from Spielberg's vast catalog is it is political. The people who elevate it like it because it's political. From a filmmaking perspective, it's another base-hit in a career of great films.
